    Abstract: In methods for the Crude Distillation Unit, a desalted crude oil and water mixture is processed through a heating exchangers, cooling exchangers, and vapor-liquid phases separating vessels, fired furnace, superheated vapor steam, the liquid stream having a wide distillation boiling range and partially vaporized crude oil streams. These streams are processed in an atmospheric distillation column to generate the distillate products and long residue stream. The long residue generated from the ADC striping section is processed with steam in the separate vessel with plural trays or the new separation section with plural trays added to the existing ADC design. The methods result in simultaneous reduction in thermal energy, reduction in vacuum system load, opportunity to increase the crude throughput for a given diameter of ADC and eliminating need for a fired furnace for superheating the vapor stream to be used at bottom section of ADC.

    Abstract: Embodiments for creating transactional consistent snapshot copies of SQL server containers in a Kubernetes system for copy reuse on different clusters to facilitate processing local snapshots for secondary workloads without impacting production quality of service. A copy data management (CDM) tool acts as an orchestrator, while a backup toolkit is deployed in the namespace of the production cluster containers. A container storage interface (CSI) plugin supplies persistent storage to the containers. Before taking a copy, the process posts the toolkit in the container and a quiesce/unquiesce operation is then performed. The databases are first quiesced, the snapshot copy is taken, and then the databases are unquiesced. The toolkit is then removed, thus producing a transactional consistent backup in a different namespace.

    Abstract: Though several data augmentation techniques have been explored in the signal or feature space, very few studies have explored augmentation in the embedding space for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR). The outputs of the hidden layers of a neural network can be seen as different representations or projections of the features. The augmentations performed on the features may not necessarily translate into augmentation of the different projections of the features as obtained from the output of the hidden layers. To overcome the challenges of the conventional approaches, embodiments herein provide a method and system for augmented speech embeddings based automatic speech recognition. The present disclosure provides an augmentation scheme which works on the speech embeddings. The augmentation works by replacing a set of randomly selected embeddings by noise during training. It does not require additional data, works online during training, and adds very little to the overall computational cost.

    Abstract: A multi-modal articulation system translates human gestures into control commands for digital and automation devices. The system integrates a camera module, which captures facial and hand movements, with an image processing unit that extracts facial features, such as eyebrow movement, lip curvature, eyelid motion, and eye trajectory. These extracted features are analyzed in real time by an articulation recognition module that compares them against a database to recognize specific gestures. The system tracks and processes air-drawn hand gestures using a gesture trajectory tracking unit, which converts the motions into digital representations and classifies them using deep learning algorithms. The recognized gestures are converted into machine-readable control signals and executed on various connected devices via a relay control unit.
