Abstract: A method for generating a product data structure specifying a mapping is described. The method includes receiving, by a data processing system, an input that specifies requirements for an insurance product, the requirements including (i) a first set of requirements defined by an upstream system and specifying underwriting workflow and operational workflow associated with the insurance product, and (ii) a second set of requirements defined by one or more downstream systems and specifying attributes of the insurance product that each of the downstream systems requires to create the insurance product. The method includes processing the input to generate meta-data that defines at least one of a risk structure or a coverage associated with the insurance product, generating a data structure specifying a mapping between the upstream system and each of the one or more downstream systems, and storing, in a hardware storage device, the data processing system.
