  • Publication number: 20070126600
Abstract: The warning tube guides drivers around an obstacle such as a construction site. Beginning with a base that has a neck, the warning tube has corrugations like an accordion, a sleeve at the lower end, its own neck at the upper end, and a variety of fittings temporarily placed into the neck. The fittings include a cap, a reflector, a light, and a traffic sign like a yield sign, among other things. After the sleeve is placed upon the neck of the base, the tube is expanded upward to position a fitting visible to drivers. The corrugations of the tube are bent at an angle to indicate the direction of the road ahead of the warning tube.

  • Publication number: 20060278352
Abstract: A support assembly for a collapsible automobile shade such as a pleated or folding screen which can be selectively moved between a collapsed position for storage and an open position for placement in a vehicle window. The support assembly consists of one or more arcuate compressible members which extends beyond the perimeter of the pleated or folding screen. Each of the arcuate compressible members is resiliently compressible, for the purpose of conforming to an edge or perimeter of an automobile window in which the shade is installed, while maintaining the screen in an open position, thereby supplying an expansive force to hold the shade in place in the open position.

  • Publication number: 20060201849
Abstract: A hand held device has compartments and collapses for storage during periods of non-usage. The carrier has two trapezoidal shaped wings, hingedly connected upon the taller end. Hook and loop fasteners and a strap through handles temporarily secure the wings together. Each wing has two removable dividers forming compartments and collapses as its sides fold inwards. The present invention provides pockets, a detachable strap, and dividers. The carrier also has fabric covered panels with piping upon the edges, open mesh and elasticized pockets, and feet upon the bottom of the wings. The carrier transports beverages, tools, and parts among other things that may require compartments.

  • Publication number: 20050283592
Abstract: Techniques are described for dynamically controlling the execution of operations within a multi-operation instruction, such as a very long instruction word (VLIW). A programmable processor fetches and executes a first instruction having an operation mask. Based on the operation mask, the processor selectively executes one or more operations within a second instruction. Individual operations within a multi-operation instruction can be selectively enabled and disabled, which is advantageous in many situations, including event handling and code debugging.

  • Publication number: 20050000664
Abstract: A sunshade or sunscreen for an automobile includes fold lines. The sunshade is made from front and back layers and an intermediate layer. The front and back layers each have a reflective outer surface and an insulating inner surface. The intermediate layer is made from an insulating material, such as a form. To allow for folding of the sunshade, the shade is provided with fold lines which extend between opposed edges of the sunshade. The fold lines are formed by sonic (or ultrasonic) welding.

  • Patent number: 6691762
Abstract: A collapsible automobile shades comprising a pleated screen which can be selectively moved between an opened position and a collapsed position. The shade can be mounted to either an automobile's visor, to shade the vehicle from sunlight which would otherwise enter the car through the front windshield, or to a side window of the vehicle, to shade the vehicle from sunlight which would otherwise enter the vehicle through a side window of the vehicle. The shade includes a mounting assembly to mount the shade to the visor or the side window. It is also preferably provided with a closure, such as a strap which extends around the shade, to maintain the shade in the collapsed position.

  • Patent number: 6631489
Abstract: A cache memory includes a plurality of lines of memory and a plurality of cache coherency state registers. Each of the plurality of cache coherency state registers is associated with one of the plurality of lines of memory. Each of the plurality of cache coherency state registers further includes four elements having one of a first value and a second value to form a four bit code for a MESI Protocol. The four bit code provides a first set of codes having a minimum distance of two from every other code, and a second set of codes having a minimum distance of three from every other code. The first set of codes includes a first code representing an Invalid state, a second code representing a Shared state, and a third code representing an Exclusive state. The second set of codes includes a fourth code representing a Modified state.

  • Patent number: 6505318
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for receiving partially error protected data. A transmission of a binary code is received. The binary code is selected from a first set of codes having a first minimum distance from every other code and a second set of codes having a second minimum distance from every other code. The second minimum distance is greater than the first minimum distance. A first single bit error in the transmission is detected if the transmission is a distance of one unit from one of the codes in the second set of codes.

  • Patent number: 6438650
Abstract: A system for processing caches misses includes a request miss buffer, secondary miss logic, and a request identifier buffer. When a request misses in a cache, information characterizing the request is provided to the request miss buffer and the secondary miss logic. The secondary miss logic determines whether the request may be merged with a pending bus transaction, and provides the request identifier buffer with a pointer to the request information. The pointer is stored at an entry associated with the pending bus transaction. For a load request, data returned by the bus transaction is routed to a targeted register, using the request information in the request miss buffer.

  • Patent number: 6033081
Abstract: A lighted tool for providing illumination to socket wrench sockets and the like. An adapter houses a battery-powered light source that may have a plurality of individual light sources. An extension projects inwardly into the adapter to mechanically engage the light. Flanges projecting outwardly from the extender are trapped between the adapter and a threaded ring that threads upon the adapter to trap the flanges, and therefore the extender, between the threaded ring and the adapter. The light may be illuminated by either compressing the light as by tightening the threaded ring or by a separate switch. Upon such compression, a spring- or other biased-contact may close the circuit to transmit the battery power to the lights. Furrows along the sides of the extender allow the light to transmit forwardly and to be projected upon and illuminate any tool held upon a forward projection of the extender and any nut, bolt, or other fastener head that is to be engaged by such a socket or other tool bit.
