  • Publication number: 20230149176
Abstract: According to one aspect of the disclosure, a prosthetic implant system includes a first articulation component, a base, and a second anchor. The base may have a proximal portion and a first anchor extending in a distal direction along a longitudinal first anchor axis. The proximal portion of the base may be configured to couple to the first articulation component. The second anchor may be formed separately from the base and may extend along a longitudinal second anchor axis. The base may include a channel extending from a first opening in the proximal portion of the base through a second opening in a distal portion of the first anchor. The channel may be sized and shaped to receive the second anchor therethrough. When the second anchor is received within the channel, the longitudinal first anchor axis may be oblique to the longitudinal second anchor axis.

  • Publication number: 20220362030
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a humeral head and cup trials, a system for humeral trialing, and a method for removing a humeral head and cup trial from a humeral stem. The humeral trial may include a first portion, a second portion, and a post extending from the second portion. The first portion may define an articular surface. The post may define a first length in a first configuration and a second length in a second configuration. The first length may be greater than the second length. The post may change from the first configuration to the second configuration by moving the first portion with respect to the second portion.

  • Patent number: 11413154
Abstract: A system for shoulder repair includes a prosthetic stemless shoulder implant including a base member extending along a longitudinal axis from a first side to a second side. The second side adapted to engage bone of a patient. The base member defines a hole that extends along the longitudinal axis and through the second side of the base member for receiving a flexible member therethrough. The system includes a fixation construct including a first fixation device and a second fixation device, the first and second fixation devices connected by the flexible member. While the first fixation device is positioned outside of the second side of the base member and the second fixation device is positioned within the base member, the flexible member is adapted to tension the first fixation device with respect to the second fixation device.

  • Publication number: 20210346166
Abstract: A stemless prosthetic shoulder joint may include a prosthetic humeral head and a stemless base. The stemless base may include a collar and an anchor extending from the collar intended to anchor the base into the proximal humerus. The base may include a proximal collar having a proximal surface and a bone-engaging surface opposite the proximal surface. The collar may have a superior portion and an inferior portion, the superior portion defining an arc shape and the inferior portion defining a substantially triangular shape.

  • Publication number: 20210045895
Abstract: An impactor system is for impacting a base of a shoulder implant into a humerus. The system may include a housing having distal stabilizer configured to contact a proximal resected surface of the humerus. The distal stabilizer may define an open space. An impaction member may be slidably received within the housing. The impaction member may have a proximal surface and a distal connection mechanism adapted to connect to the base of the shoulder implant. The impaction member may be movable from a first proximal position in which the base of the shoulder implant, when connected to the impaction member, is positioned within the open space defined by the distal stabilizer, to a second distal position in which the base of the shoulder implant, when connected to the impaction member, is positioned at least partially distal to the open space defined by the distal stabilizer.

  • Patent number: 10280931
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a pump having a motor, a housing, a seal plate coupled to the housing and including a seal plate hub with mounting supports, an impeller arranged within the housing, a coupling assembly coupling a motor shaft and a pump shaft, and a seal and jacking assembly including a mechanical seal and a seal gland. The seal gland is removably coupled to the mounting supports and includes threaded jacking apertures extending axially through the seal gland, each configured to receive a jacking element. When the seal gland is decoupled from the mounting supports, the seal gland is moveable axially between a first position whereat the seal gland engages the mechanical seal and a second position whereat the seal gland engages a retaining ring coupled to the pump shaft in response to rotation of the jacking elements received within the pair of threaded jacking apertures.
