The data input device for effectively changing a color of data to be input to the electronic device includes a color changer configured to change a color of data to be input to the electronic device, a communicator configured to communicate with the electronic device, and a controller configured to receive an output signal from the color changer, to convert the received output signal into color identification information, and to control the communicator to transmit the converted color identification information to the electronic device.
