  • Publication number: 20230179957
Abstract: A telecommunications system includes a base, a plurality of handsets, and a status database for storing status information. Each handset is localized to the base. The status information may be that of a first handset of the plurality of handsets. The base broadcasts to the plurality of handsets a status broadcast that includes the status information.

  • Patent number: 9154933
Abstract: A cordless telephone system provides home security. Each handset associated with the cordless telephone system detects an event, such as a noise level that exceeds a threshold noise level, smoke, carbon monoxide, intrusion or moisture level. If an event is detected the system presents a message from the base unit to an alert telephone number of the home owner that provides notification of the event.

  • Patent number: 7610385
Abstract: Bandwidth usage in a radio communication device is readjusted to eliminate overlapping communication system bandwidth. The readjustment is made in consideration of communication channel quality and other activity in the spectrum in which the radio communications are desired. Using this information, a communication link is set up to avoid overlapping with other radio communications already present in the band. Frequencies at which significant degradation in the communication occurs are also avoided. In addition, for frequency hopping devices, hop sequence is readjusted in accordance with the newly assigned channels.

  • Patent number: 6987992
Abstract: A multiple wireless microphone speakerphone system includes one or more wireless microphones. The wireless microphones accept speech and transmit the speech to receivers, one receiver corresponding to each wireless microphone. Audio processing and acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) are performed on the received speech signals. A signal handling unit generates an audio signal after echo cancellation. The generated audio signal is transmitted to a far end to be played through, for example, a speaker or an ear piece.
