Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate transforming business and encoding rules defined in a persistent and relational format into XML schemas that provide a message format and validation logic for the message. A message can be received in delimited flat-file format and parsed to facilitate generating a value-added XML schema that represents both encoding rules and business rules associated with the message. The systems and methodologies detailed herein can be employed, for example, in applications utilized in a healthcare provider space and can be consistent with Health Level 7 standards to improve message validation and/or processing.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate formally describing structured documents and complex validation rules associated therewith using value-added XSD schemas (VAXs). Native XSDs can be utilized and annotated to generate VAXs that represent both the structure of a document and the complex validation rules used to validate the documents. VAXs can be annotated with declarative validation rules that can be assessed at run time to facilitate document validation. Additionally, VAXs can be annotated with validation handlers that comprise a predefined library of validation routines that can be called at run time to facilitate document validation.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed to effectively communicate business data to a plurality of business entities. In one embodiment, a system and method of effectively communicating supply chain management data to business entities are provided. In one embodiment, a data collaboration framework is loaded into a host server to provide one or more data collaboration models to business entities participating in the collaboration of supply chain management data. The data collaboration framework allows the creation of formulas for operating on supplied collaboration data, business rules for raising exceptions, and actions based on exceptions to be easily configured by an administrator.

Abstract: A menu infrastructure component, or menu application, which runs as a layer on top of a platform, wherein the platform is used to run various applications. The menu application can service, with menu generating capabilities, any of the applications running on the platform. Based upon the identity (or locale) of the user, a particular set of images will be created to provide the preferred language (for instance) for display in the menus. During runtime, these criteria are used to pick out a version of menus (e.g., Japanese menus or English menus) and thereafter render them for display. Each of the applications can have inter-application links, which jump from one application to another. The applications can also have intra-application links, which jump to different capabilities or functions within the particular application. The Menu Application serves to manage and render the inter- and intra-application hyperlinks for an entire web site.
