Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of poly-maleimide derivatives as medicaments. In particular it relates to the use of a maleimide compound of formula (I) or a salt, ester or other physiologically equivalent derivative thereof for use in the manufacture of a medicament for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of a bacterial, viral, fungal or protozoal infection of the reproductive system. The invention further provides such compounds and their use in medicine.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of maleimide derivatives as spermicidal agents. In particular it relates to the use of a maleimide compound of formula (I): wherein R is any group with the proviso that the maleimide is not N-ethylmaleimide, as a spermicide. The invention further provides novel these compounds and their use in medicine. The invention also relates to spermicidal formulations containing maleimide derivatives.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a condom having an open end and a closed end, wherein the method is comprised of the steps of coating a former, applying material, in addition to the coating material, to areas of the former thereby creating monolithic stimulation projections between the ends of the condom. The method further includes the steps of coating the former after the stimulation projections have been formed, applying the additional material in a continuous stream or in a series of discrete pulses by a dispensing gun and rotating the former during the application of the additional material.
