  • Patent number: 10337870
Abstract: System and method for generating a dynamic route map for a person trapped in an enclosed space and for enabling quick evacuation of the person is disclosed. When a request for evacuation is made by the person, the evacuation system locates the person based on the RFID person identifier tag and localizes the location of the person with respect to plurality of RFID floor tags and plurality of self-identifying RFID reader antenna tags. Further, condition of the floor is assessed by comparing the RSSI readings of the plurality of RFID floor tags and the RSSI readings of the plurality of self-identifying RFID reader antenna tags and the environmental information with pre-defined baseline RSSI readings of the plurality of RFID floor tags, RSSI readings of the plurality of self-identifying RFID reader antenna tags and an environmental threshold. A dynamic floor map is generated by collecting the RSSI readings from the plurality of RFID floor tags, self-identifying RFID reader antenna tags.

  • Patent number: 10061951
Abstract: A method of localizing articles comprising passive Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) tags is disclosed. The method includes receiving tag information from each of a plurality of RFID tags attached to a plurality of articles fixed to a plurality of immovable assets disposed in a predefined layout within an enclosed region; segregating the tag information received from each of the plurality of RFID tags into a plurality of regions within the predefined layout; mapping an RFID tag from the plurality of RFID tags to an immovable asset from the plurality of immovable assets; and verifying mapping of the RFID tag to the immovable asset based on an estimated physical location of the RFID and an actual physical location of the RFID tag.

  • Patent number: 10028148
Abstract: A technique is provided for localizing a plurality of wireless transmitters. The technique includes retrieving Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values measured by one or more sensors, corresponding to the plurality of wireless transmitters distributed in a region in which the sensors are located. The technique further comprises generating, a plurality of clusters based on the retrieved RSSI values. The technique further comprises generating a binary image based on the generated clusters. The binary image comprises one or more white regions and one or more black regions. The technique further comprises localizing position of each of the plurality of wireless transmitters, based on a determination of contours of the one or more white regions present in the binary image.

  • Patent number: 9955434
Abstract: A technique is provided for controlling a transmit range of a wireless transmitter. The technique includes retrieving Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values measured by one or more sensors, corresponding to the plurality of wireless transmitters distributed in a region in which the sensors are located. A plurality of parameters associated with the wireless transmitter to be placed within the region are received. The plurality of parameters includes a minimum range of transmission of the wireless transmitter and a preferred position in the region. A plurality of clusters are generated based on the retrieved RSSI values and the minimum range. Further, one or more positions for placing the wireless transmitter within a cluster from the plurality of clusters, and a maximum range of transmission at each of the one or more positions, are determined. The maximum range is determined by controlling a range of transmission of the wireless transmitter.
