Patent number: 11223723Abstract: A call center system for reducing communication latency includes an input/output (I/O) interface for receiving one or more queries from a customer terminal; a processor in communication with the I/O interface; and non-transitory computer readable media in communication with the processor that stores instruction code. The instruction code is executed by the processor and causes the processor to route the one or more queries to a plurality of artificial intelligent (AI) logic modules and receive, from one or more of the AI logic modules, information that facilitates providing, by a call center agent, responses to the one or more queries. The processor also routes actual responses to the one or more queries made by the call center agent to the AI logic modules; and receives from at least one AI logic module one or more scores associated with one or more metrics that rate different aspects if the actual responses.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2018Date of Patent: January 11, 2022Assignee: Accenture Global Solutions LimitedInventors: Alpana Dubey, Kumar Abhinav, Manish Mehta, Susan Miller

Patent number: 8769621Abstract: A method provides for permission-based access to personal information over a communication network. The method includes entering specified owner personal information in an owner terminal, by an owner, to establish a secure owner profile, which is stored in an owner database. The method also includes entering specified user personal information in a user terminal, by a user, to establish a secure user profile, which is stored in a user database. The method further includes entering a user request in the user terminal requesting permission to receive a designated piece of the owner personal information from the secure owner profile. A server determines whether to approve the user request; and provides permission to use the designated piece of the owner personal information to the user over the communication network after the user request is approved by the server.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2011Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventors: Chesla Catherine Wechsler, Gerald Maziarski, Earle H. Patent number: 8469511Abstract: An eyeglasses holder comprising an arm and a hollow body. The arm is connected to the hollow body through a bridge at the top end of the arm forming a groove between the arm and hollow body. According to one embodiment, a plurality of planar protrusions extends radially from the inner surface of the hollow body toward the center of the hollow body to grip and secure the eyeglasses during transport. An alternative embodiment comprises a magnetic member contained by the hollow body that exerts a magnetic force on a pair of eyeglasses either directly or via an attached metallic strip.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2011Date of Patent: June 25, 2013Inventors: Jessica Miller, Susan Miller

Publication number: 20060283659Abstract: There is a noise reduction device for reducing noise from a vibrating strap. There is a securing member including a strip of material having a first surface including hook material and a second surface including loop material, wherein the securing member is configured to removably attach to the vibrating strap by wrapping about the strap and attaching a portion of the first surface to a portion of the second surface. There is a damping member including a plurality of strands of fibers configured to dampen vibratory motion. There is an internal coupling member configured to couple the securing member to the damping member and configured to bundle the plurality of strands of fibers.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 16, 2005Publication date: December 21, 2006Inventors: Jeffrey Owens, Shantelle Owens, Donald Miller, Susan Miller

Publication number: 20060246930Abstract: In one embodiment of the method, a base station is configured to divide a coverage area of the base station into sub-coverage areas. Each sub-coverage area has a smaller range of round trip propagation delays than a range of round trip propagation delays for the coverage area of the base station. Each sub-coverage area may have a different range of round trip propagation delays.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2005Publication date: November 2, 2006Inventors: Chang Kim, Lawrence Merboth, Susan Miller, Paul Polakos, Stephen Wilkus, Henry Ye, Lily Zhu

Automated drill process for two-diameter holes in multi-layer variable thickness composite materials
Publication number: 20060010689Abstract: A method of manufacturing a mobile platform. The platform includes a structure and a member assembled to the structure. Further, the member has a first and a second surface with a thickness defined there between that is varied. The method includes leaving the member on the structure. Also, the method includes advancing a tool through the member while on the structure. The tool is stopped before the tool advances into the structure by more than about a first pre-selected tolerance. Also, a mobile platform assembly is provided that includes a structure, a member, and a fastener fastening the structure and member via a hole through the structure and assembly. The hole has a first diameter through the structure and a second diameter through the member, wherein the diameter changes within an acceptable depth range. In another preferred embodiment, a boroscope, adapted for inspecting holes having two diameters, is also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 2004Publication date: January 19, 2006Inventors: Ali Salour, Don Grzina, Robert Barclay, David McCoy, Mark Feldman, Susan Miller -
Patent number: 5766933Abstract: The method of measuring analytes in biological fluids is disclosed wherein a specific binder to a given analyte is covalently immobilized onto a solid support to which a labeled analyte is pre-reacted and stabilized to form a binder-labeled analyte complex. A sample is contacted with said immobilized complex wherein an analyte in the sample, if present, competes with the labeled analyte bound to the immobilized binder for binding sites on said binder thus displacing a given amount of the labeled analyte which is directly proportional to the amount of analyte present in the sample. The affinity of the labeled analyte to the analyte's specific binder is lower than the affinity of the unlabeled analyte to the same binder.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1989Date of Patent: June 16, 1998Assignee: Diagnostic Products CorporationInventors: A. Said El Shami, Christopher W. Hand, Susan A. Miller, Robert A. Moore

Patent number: 5220689Abstract: A pair of sportglasses comprises a large, curved polymer lens (10) sized and shaped to shield the front and sides of the face from harmful solar radiation which may cause accelerated skin aging and skin cancer after repeated exposure. The lens has main portions (11) which cover the eyes (31) and cheeks (32), lower portions (13) which extend down the front of the face past the level of the mouth on either side to cover the side portions of the face (33), and rear portions (14) which wrap around the sides of the face to cover the sides of the face as far back as the ears. The large lens has an optical coating which significantly attenuates ultraviolet radiation, the most harmful component of sunlight, to protect most of the face from the damaging effects which may result after repeated exposure. A detachable nosepiece (19) protects the nose. The nostrils and mouth are left uncovered such that breathing and speaking are not impaired.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1992Date of Patent: June 22, 1993Inventor: Susan Miller
