Abstract: The present invention relates to a human microflora identification array. In particular, the present invention involves methods for identifying microorganisms, assessing microflora, diagnosing disease, providing a prognosis, and determining the efficacy of treatment, using one or more nucleic acid molecules having a sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1-585. The method includes obtaining a sample to be tested, and contacting nucleic acid molecules from the sample with the nucleic acid molecules of the present invention under conditions suitable for hybridization, and then detecting the complex formed by hybridization. The method can be carried out using an array. Hence, the present invention includes methods of identification of microorganism, methods for making such arrays, the arrays, and nucleic acid molecules used for same.
