Abstract: Systems and methods for ensuring that a child receives proper nutrition specific to the child's developmental stage or pre-existing condition are provided. In a general embodiment, the present disclosure provides systems including a client device having at least one database, which has stored food consumption information and child characteristic information. The database further includes stored nutrient and food group recommendation information, and a rating system. Processors are used to calculate an average daily nutrition value of a child based on the food consumption and child characteristic information, compare the average daily nutrition value to the nutrient and food group recommendation information, and output a rating score based on the comparison.
