    Abstract: A wearable barrier against ticks including a section of material, the section of material being flexible so that the section of material can be manipulated to snugly fit around a limb of a user, wherein the section of material is a flat strip or band of material, the section of material including: a first layer, the first layer directly contacting at least one the user's skin, an article of clothing worn by the user, or a combination thereof, and a second layer, the second layer being an adhesive layer disposed on an outer surface of the first layer, wherein the adhesive layer extends completely around the limb of the user to extend a barrier against a tick, such that the tick is trapped on the adhesive layer when the tick comes into direct contact with the adhesive layer, is provided.
