    Abstract: A method for dynamic service activation, including receiving a service item, including a target component and a corresponding target service level. The target component is at a current service level. It is determined if the service item can be dynamically applied to the target component. The determining is responsive to the corresponding target service level and to the current service level. The service item is applied to the target component in response to a determination that the service item can be dynamically applied to the target component. The applying is performed in a non-disruptive dynamic manner.
