Patent number: 11956309Abstract: A method for intermediary client reconnection to a preferred server in a high availability server cluster. The method includes monitoring a persistent connection of a logical connection to a preferred server to identify an unavailability of the preferred server, establishing a temporary persistent connection for the logical connection to an available server to replace an unavailable preferred server, prompting attempts to reconnect to the preferred server at intervals, and providing a connection switching pool and simultaneously re-establishing a persistent connection with the preferred server for the logical connection using the connection switching pool while terminating the temporary persistent connection to the available server. The connection switching pool and a main connection pool used by the persistent connection allow for simultaneously maintaining two connections to different servers in a same server cluster for the logical connection.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2022Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Katherine Jane Susan Robinson, Philip I Wakelin, Michael D. Patent number: 11755457Abstract: Aspects of the invention include receiving requests to be executed by a processing system, and receiving first stakeholder token from first monitoring agent and second stakeholder token from second monitoring agent, first and second stakeholder tokens being indicators to track at least one of the requests through the processing system. A tracking token is built for tracking at least one of the requests through the processing system, tracking token having a format acceptable by protocols of the processing system, tracking token including first and second stakeholder tokens and a unique correlator. Requests are transmitted to the processing system, where the tracking token is associated with at least one of requests in the processing system. Access is enabled to tracking information generated by the processing system associated with requests for the first monitoring agent based on first stakeholder token and for the second monitoring agent based on second stakeholder token.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2021Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Katherine Jane Susan Robinson, Alexander John Woodgate, Robert Conroy Jones

Patent number: 9497500Abstract: An control interface and system is provided that allows users to use a handheld device to communicates with an electronic billboard through a host server. The interface allows users to display information, as well as interact with information that is displayed on the electronic billboard. In order to establish this communication, a user, through their handheld device, communicates with a host server, which provides them with one or more available services that they can invoke in order to communicate with the display.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2012Date of Patent: November 15, 2016Assignee: Fly-N-Hog Media Group, Inc.Inventors: Brent Robinson, Susan Robinson

Publication number: 20150142602Abstract: The current document is directed to methods and systems that identify projects for which service consumers desire service provision and identify available candidate service providers that best match various project parameters and service-provision criteria determined by the automated system. Information describing the identified candidate service providers is presented to the service consumers by the systems to allow service consumers in order to facilitate their selection of service providers and scheduling of service provision. In one described implementation, service providers are matched to stock-keeping-unit (“SKU”) identifiers and location or locations. Service providers identified in the initial SKU-and-location-based matching process are then scored and ranked according to additional criteria and constraints, with information describing the highest-ranked service candidate providers provided to service consumers for selection and scheduling.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2014Publication date: May 21, 2015Applicant: SERVICE LABS, INC.Inventors: Matthew Todd Williams, Gregor Neal Purdy, Eric Chandler Wilson, Rajalakshmi Iyer Subramanian, Heidi Susan Robinson, Balaji Damodaran, Mark Addison Winham, Madan Kumar Rajan Natarajan, Brian John Moco, Jon Sorensen, Mahul Himat Shah, Arun Kumar Rajan Natarajan

Publication number: 20070251003Abstract: A mobile platform personnel berth unit and a method for creating the mobile platform personnel berth unit are provided. A male mandrel is created defining an inner mold line surface of the berth unit. The male mandrel is overlayed with one or more layers of filament strips. The filament layers are thermally cured to create an integrated structural member. The male mandrel is then removed from the structural member. The structural member is profile shaped to create a semi-finished berth unit having a top, a bottom and a pair of integral side panels. Additional entrance and back panels as well as access panels and connecting hardware are then added to complete the berth unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2007Publication date: November 1, 2007Inventors: Ralph Druckman, Karen Hills, Susan Robinson

Publication number: 20060049310Abstract: A crew rest berth support system includes a crew berth assembly having first and second berths. Hook assemblies suspend the first berth from mobile platform structure. Pin assemblies suspend the second berth from the structure. Cam assemblies connect the first and second berths. The hook assemblies permit first berth rotation in a first path and the pin assemblies permit second berth rotation in a second path substantially perpendicular to the first path. When the first and second berths are connected using the cam assemblies the crew berth assembly is restrained from motion in either the first or the second paths. An entrance cap rotatably mounted to the platform structure prior to the first and second berths is also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2004Publication date: March 9, 2006Inventors: James Park, Karen Hills, Jeffrey Farnsworth, Wiliam McCammon, Jerry Grayson, Susan Robinson, Kevin Barrick
