The push notification includes a second menu including a command for controlling an operation of the POS device.

The application may be updated to control a new function that is allowed to be performed at the POS device. A configuration right may be provided to a merchant server. The configuration right may determine an operation that the merchant is permitted to perform to control the POS device.

A web server may receive a request to associate the POS device with a merchant account associated with one or more physical locations. The request may include an identification code of the merchant account. The web server may receive an initialization message from the POS device and the initialization message may indicate a successful login at the POS device. A selected physical location may be received and linked to the POS device based on the identification code of the merchant account and responsive to receiving the selected physical location. An inventory of the selected physical location may then be synced to the POS device.
