Abstract: A method is provided for sharing healthcare benchmarks in which event data, status information, and measures from process instances of information systems of a local healthcare institution are monitored. The event data and measures are assigned into groups of process types and key measurements of the process instances into quality or performance indicators for each group of processes of a same type are aggregated, thereby creating combined process data. This combined process data of the local healthcare institution is provided to a globally accessible benchmark broker who stores the combined process data along with similarly processed combined process data other healthcare institutions. This data can be accessed by the local and other healthcare institutions. A user viewable comparison is produced between the combined process data of the local healthcare institution and the combined process data of the other healthcare institution.

Abstract: In a method and system for finding an image slice in a volume data set obtained from a scanner which scans a region of interest of a patient having a medical problem where that medical problem is located within said region of interest, the patient is scanned creating a patient volume data set. At least one of information types prior medical reports of said patient or a-priori knowledge of the type of medical problem are input to a natural language processor. With the natural language processor analyzing the information types to find a most likely volume of interest. The volume of interest is supplied to a navigation component which also receives the volume data set from the scanner, the navigation component also creating landmarks of human anatomy lying within the patient region from the volume data set.

Abstract: A method or system is provided for analyzing or identifying customer requirements. The identified requirements may be used to design a product family or redesign a process. The product can be, but is not necessarily, a computer program. For the analysis or identification, a master diagram is used in which time is defined along a first axis and a plurality of different information systems or alternatively stakeholders, user groups, or user types, are defined along a second axis, the diagram illustrating a plurality of case types, also known as tasks or task types, applicable for the product family or available solutions.

A medical information system for use with portable processing devices involves a portable processing device including a communication processor for receiving messages from one or more different healthcare workers. An individual message identifies, a task for performance by a particular healthcare worker for a patient, patient and task associated context information and a priority level of the task. A user interface provides data representing at least one display image for display to a user and comprising an overview of tasks of the different healthcare workers including the task for performance by the particular healthcare worker.
