  • Patent number: 6852207
Abstract: In a method for manufacture of prosthetic moulded parts for the dental sector with the aid of galvanic metal deposition, deposition at least partly takes place by pulse current. Deposition is preferably ended in a period of less than 5 hours, particularly within 1 to 2 hours. Deposition preferably takes place in the method of a precious metal or precious metal alloy, particularly gold or a gold alloy. Aqueous gold sulphite baths are more particularly used.

  • Publication number: 20040118438
Abstract: In the case of a method for removing electrically conductive materials containing silver from electrodeposited parts, in particular, electroformed dental parts, the part is treated with iodine and/or at least one compound containing iodine under at least one processing step. The iodine/compound containing iodine is/are preferably present in the form of a solution or a dispersion in at least one polar solvent. Inorganic iodides and iodophores are prime candidates as the compound containing iodine.

  • Publication number: 20040065225
Abstract: The invention relates to a bath for the electrodeposition of gold and gold alloys and to its use for producing dental moldings. In this bath, the gold is in the form of a gold sulfite complex. The bath according to the invention and/or the use according to the invention is distinguished by the fact that in addition to the optional presence of further metals and standard additives for gold sulfite baths of this type, there is at least one bismuth compound. This bismuth compound is preferably a complex compound, in particular with the complex-forming agents NTA, HEDTA, TEPA, DTPA, EDNTA or EDTA.

  • Patent number: 6652623
Abstract: In a method for working up a gold bath or a gold alloy bath, which contains gold in the form of a gold sulphite complex, working up takes place through at least one oxidant, which oxidizes the sulphite contained in the complex and reduces the gold contained in the complex to its metallic form. In the method in particular hydrogen peroxide and potassium-peroxo-monosulphate are used as oxidants. The oxidants are provided in a kit.
