  • Publication number: 20240003987
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for evaluating a grid condition of an AC power grid. A time series of voltage and current signals of the AC power grid is captured and a local frequency of the AC power grid is identified. The time series of the voltage and current signals is transformed at the identified local frequency of the AC power grid into transformed signals. Equivalent circuit parameters are estimated from the transformed signals based on a description of an equivalent circuit of the AC power grid. A value of a grid condition indicator is determined based on the calculated equivalent circuit parameters and the identified local frequency of the AC power grid and processed in a grid monitoring system for evaluating the grid condition of the AC power grid.

  • Patent number: 10954108
Abstract: A method for supporting remote control of a container crane, the container crane being configured to move containers from one location to another. The method is performed in a container crane control system, and includes the steps of: receiving work order information, each work order specifying a location of a container to be picked up and a destination of the container to be placed; obtaining a first video stream of images of a pick-up location; identifying the container to be picked up in the images of the first video stream; modifying the first video stream images, which includes highlighting the container to be picked up; and presenting the modified video stream of images on a display.

  • Publication number: 20200161871
Abstract: A network system includes a hybrid AC/DC-grid and a network control component. The hybrid AC/DC-grid includes an AC grid; a DC grid; and at least one converter configured to connect the AC grid with the DC grid. The network control component is configured to control the hybrid AC/DC-grid by applying a full non-linear security-constrained optimal power flow model.

  • Patent number: 9481553
Abstract: A system or method, for controlling at least two automated non-passing rail mounted gantry cranes, has, for each crane, a crane control unit for ensuring execution of at least one work order received by the respective crane from an external scheduling system, and may have a rescheduling unit which performs a rescheduling of the at least one work order based on an expected trajectory along the rail determined for each work order. The rescheduling can be achieved by splitting at least one of the work orders into at least two new work orders and by re-sequencing and re-allocating resulting work orders to reduce the number or duration of situations, where the expected trajectory of one crane blocks the expected trajectory of another crane and/or to reduce a workload imbalance between the cranes. The rescheduling unit operates in parallel with the crane control units, and dynamically updates these original work orders.
