  • Publication number: 20240017314
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for pre-shaping sheet metal (1) in strip- or panel-form having a flat cross-sectional profile into a circular arc-shaped cross-sectional profile, in a pre-shaping section (3) of a plant for producing open-seam pipes. The circular arc-shaped cross-sectional profile is provided to the sheet metal (1) in the pre-shaping section (3) by means of roll profiling in a plurality of successive bending steps in a transport direction. The cross-sectional profile is created by step-by-step bending of individual circular arc portions (8) from an outer edge of the sheet metal (1) toward a center line (7) such that the individual circular arc portions (8) directly adjoin one another or at least partially overlap. The disclosure further relates to a device for carrying out the method.

  • Publication number: 20220339683
Abstract: A cross-rolling unit and a method for setting the roll pass of a cross-rolling unit, having at least two rolls and a roll housing, in which at least one of the rolls is mounted such that its position can be adjusted in order to change the roll pass, allow the roll pass to be adjusted by means of a roll-positioning apparatus even during rolling, which roll-positioning apparatus is characterized by a housing-connected part and a roller-mill-connected part, which can be moved relative to the housing-connected part during rolling, which parts can be repositioned relative to each other, and/or which roll-positioning apparatus characterized by a drive which is dimensioned in such a way that rolling forces can be applied.

  • Publication number: 20210078058
Abstract: A stretch-reducing mill (1) for producing seamless pipes (R), which comprises a plurality of roll stands (10), which are arranged one after the other in a conveying direction (F) of the pipes (R) and each have three rolls (11) arranged at an angular distance of 120°, wherein the roll stands (10) are divided into at least two groups (A, B) each having at least two roll stands (10); the rolls (11) of adjacent roll stands (10) within a group (A, B) are inclined relative to each other by an intra-group angle ?I; and the rolls (11) of the roll stands (10) of adjacent groups (A, B) are inclined relative to each other by a group angle ?G that is less than the intra-group angle ?I.

  • Patent number: 7688966
Abstract: An improved user interface improves call center agent responsiveness by persistently (i.e., without interruption) displaying key information at fixed locations in an integrated user interface. The integrated user interface may be partitioned into physical areas on the agent's display screen. While some areas of the agent's display screen may rapidly change, at least one area in a reserved location may persistently display a collection of interaction-specific information that the call center agent can view at all times during a call/chat/email session. The user interface persistently displays each piece of key information at a reserved and unchanging physical location on the agent's screen.
