  • Patent number: 5673099
Abstract: A lens shutter type of camera is disclosed in which a zoom lens is positioned in a lens block (1) which has a sector gear (15) rotatably associated with the lens block and with a rotatable cam ring (14). The cam ring and sector gear are rotatable in a substantially constant axial position. A movable finder optical assembly (8) and a movable strobe assembly (9) are movable in association with movement of the zoom lens. The zoom lens is movable between an extreme telephoto position and an extreme wide angle position, as well a into a fully collapsed lens position beyond the extreme wide angle position and a macro or close-up photographing position beyond the extreme telephoto position. When the camera is in its macro mode, a prism (P1) is inserted into the finder optical assembly to correct for parallax; the strobe assembly is moved to change its illumination angle; and an optical wedge (4e) is pivoted into the path between a light receiver (4) and a light emitter (3e).

  • Patent number: 5266992
Abstract: A camera is provided having a finder optical system, a photographing optical system separate from the finder optical system, and a macro photographing mode. The camera includes a movable field frame which is normally located at an inoperative position in which it is retracted from an optical axis of the finder optical system, and which is moved to an operative position in which the movable field frame is in the finder optical axis in association with the transfer into the macro photographing mode. The movable field frame is provided with a field opening corresponding to a photographing range of the photographing optical system.

  • Patent number: 5218393
Abstract: A viewfinder includes an objective lens, an eyepiece lens, and an indication frame which can be observed through the eyepiece together with an image of an object formed by the objective lens. An optical member is provided having a light incident surface and a light emergent surface. The indication frame can be located to extend between the incident and emergent surfaces. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the thickness of the optical member is greater than the image forming range of the viewfinder. • Patent number: 4256394
Abstract: An automatic film winding device in a camera in which a camera winding coupling is coupled to a motor drive side through a power transmission mechanism having a cam and a follower. The device comprises a cam system having a first cam for maintaining a motor drive circuit energized and a second cam for a film winding operation in said camera. After a release operation in the camera the motor drive circuit is energized in association with restoration of a camera release button or a shutter. The follower is displaced to the first cam by the relative motion of said first cam and follower caused by the further rotation of said motor, to maintain the motor drive circuit energized. After the completion of winding operation in the camera, the second cam is disengaged from the follower by the relative motion of the second cam and follower to deenergize the motor drive circuit.
