    Abstract: An implantable medical device is provided. The core includes a core polymer matrix within which is dispersed a therapeutic agent comprising one or more bisphosphonates. The core polymer matrix contains an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer. The ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer has a vinyl acetate content of from about 10 wt. % to about 60 wt. % and/or a melting temperature of from about 40° C. to about 120° C. as determined in accordance with ASTM D3418-15.
