    Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with computerized item rental using beacons are described. In one embodiment, a method includes maintaining a data structure mapping user identifiers to beacon identifiers associated with rental items being rented by corresponding users. The example method may also receiving a beacon signal from a beacon device associated with a rental time. The example method may also include querying the data structure using a beacon identifier extracted from the beacon signal to determine if the rental item is rented or available for rent. The example method may also include creating an entry within the data structure to indicate that the rental item is now being rented.

    Abstract: The embodiments disclosed herein relate to an address management system that includes a registration service for receiving and validating address information for a user. Validation of a user's address information may involve consulting authoritative sources of information such as a governmental agency. Once validated, the registration service may issue and/or enable a user code that may be used as a key for retrieving the address information for the user. When a user requests a service from an application that requires an address, the user may supply the user code instead of an address. The application may retrieve from an address server at least a portion of the address associated with the registered user code.

The example method may also include retrieving asset information for assets located at the site. The example method may also include constructing and rendering a user interface populated with the asset information. In this way, a user is routed through the site to a target asset using the user interface.

In one embodiment, a method includes controlling a wireless receiver of a computing device to listen for beacon signals transmitted by beacon devices located at different locations within a work site. The example method may also include evaluating a first beacon signal from a first beacon device and a second beacon signal from a second beacon device to determine that the first beacon device is located at a first location and that the second beacon device is located at a second location. The example method may also include determining whether the computing device entered the work site or exited the work site based upon a sequence of receiving the beacon signals and the relative position of the locations of the beacon devices. The example method may also include transmitting a time entry command to a remote computing system.
