Abstract: In a solid oxide fuel cell, plate-like current collecting members 6, which are divided (into four sections) in the cell axis direction, are provided at both ends of a cell stack 2. Current collecting rods 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d as a first current path extend from the current collecting member sections 6a, 6b, 6c, 6d respectively. These current collecting rods 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d are collected at a current collector 8, and electric current is withdrawn out of a bulkhead of a reaction chamber by a terminal 9 which extends from the current collector 8.
