  • Patent number: 5151588
Abstract: A radiation imaging apparatus provided with a detector array comprising a plurality of detector units, each of which, in turn, comprises a plurality of X-ray detecting elements each having a photosensitive surface of a different area from those of the other elements and corresponds to one picture element or pixel of a display, the output signal from one or more of the X-ray detecting elements of each of the detector units being used as image information for a corresponding one of the pixels of the display. While the X-ray dose remains at a low level, the detection output from the detecting element having a large photosensitive surface or the sum of the output from that element and the outputs from the other elements having smaller photosensitive surfaces is used as pixel information to form an image of the object being examined. When the radiation dose increases to a predetermined high level, the result of detection by only the element having a small photosensitive surface is used as pixel information.

  • Patent number: 5148030
Abstract: A photon counting type radiation image detecting apparatus, improved so as to reduce the number of lead wires from many pixel-forming arrayed radiation detectors to an image display device. This is accomplished by coding the output signal from the detectors with respect to their locations. Level determining circuits are used to determine the detection and level of photon energy.

  • Patent number: 4804854
Abstract: A radiation image detecting system whose radiation image receiving plane consists of a (m, n) sensor matrix is improved in the S/N ratio by providing radiation sensors constituting the sensor matrix with their respective buffer circuits. The buffer circuits prevent the capacitance components of the sensors from being transmitted to m row-side amplifiers and n column-side amplifiers causing both the m row-side amplifiers taking charge of the output from n radiation sensors and the n column-side amplifiers taking charge of the output from m radiation sensors to have their S/N ratio improved so as to depend on .sqroot.n and .sqroot.m, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4497039
Abstract: The present invention discloses a join operation processing system in a relational model where a data base processing mechanism provides at least maximum/minimum calculation execution means, reduction sort execution means and the join operation execution means.During the join operation for generating a new table linking tuples of a plurality of pertinent tables based on a common field or plurality of common fields, a minimum extraction range for determining the tuples to be processed is determined with respect to the join field or the plurality of join fields for each table which is considered as the object of the join. The operation rate is thereby improved by omitting the processing referring to unwanted data.

  • Patent number: 4483487
Abstract: Disclosed is a vertical roller mill wherein a material fed to a casing is ground between a rotary table and a plurality of grinding rollers which are pressed against the rotary table and are rotated as the rotary table is rotated, the ground material being entrained by the upblast of heated gas or the like and discharged out of the casing. A bracket extended above the rotary table for carrying the grinding roller is pivoted at the side of the casing, and a pull-down means is connected with the bracket adjacent to the part thereof at which the grinding roller is supported. The bracket is pulled down by the pull-down means so that the grinding roller may be pressed against the rotary table.
