  • Publication number: 20030085313
Abstract: Two embodiments of winding methods and apparatus for winding coils of a rotating electrical machine where the armature teeth are skewed. The winding mechanism and method operates so that the winding needle does not have to enter to the bottom of the slots between the pole teeth but the wire is wound around the pole teeth from one end thereof with an arrangement for causing the windings to progressively move down the pole teeth as the winding continues.

  • Publication number: 20030080641
Abstract: Two embodiments of rotating electrical machines wherein the cogging torque is substantially reduced by increasing the cogging number without increasing the number of pole teeth and permanent magnets. This is done by selecting the appropriate magnet angle to increase the number of coggings per revolution and this can be done using a computer analysis of the cogging torque for the individual magnets rather than by a trial and error method.

  • Publication number: 20030025025
Abstract: An automatic machine and method of winding of armatures having maximum coil density because the winding nozzle does not enter into the slots between the pole teeth and the wire is directed toward the core portion of the armature during winding to improve coil density.

  • Publication number: 20030025024
Abstract: Armature structures and methods that provide very dense coil windings and afford very rapid winding methods at a relatively low cost. In addition the likelihood of damaging the already wound wires by contact with the winding nozzle is substantially eliminated. This is achieved by moving the winding needle in varying distances and directions away from the pole teeth to induce varying degrees of slack in the wire during the winding and when the needle is not in the slot between the pole teeth.

  • Publication number: 20030011271
Abstract: A number of embodiments of rotating electrical machines and methods for winding them that provides a high space utilization and very effective winding with less likelihood of damage to the insulation of the wire of the winding during the winding process. The arrangement basically does not require the winding needle to be moved back and forth in the slot between the poles but rather employs insulating inserts that are positioned on the axial faces of the poles outside of the gaps for guiding the wire from one end to the other so as to provide the high space utilization. In one embodiment the insulating insert effectively changes the circumferential length of the coil winding that decreases in an axial direction along their length.

  • Publication number: 20030011269
Abstract: A number of embodiments of rotating electrical machines and methods for winding them that provides a high space utilization and very effective winding with less likelihood of damage to the insulation of the wire of the winding during the winding process. The arrangement basically does not require the winding needle to be moved back and forth in the slot between the poles but rather employs insulating inserts that are positioned on the axial faces of the poles outside of the gaps for guiding the wire from one end to the other so as to provide the high space utilization. In addition several embodiments of protective arrangements are disclosed that protect the wound coils from damage by the winding needle even though it may project into the slot between the poles.

  • Publication number: 20020074887
Abstract: A number of embodiments of rotating electrical machines using permanent magnets wherein the cogging torque is substantially reduced as are vibrations caused by magnetic flux variations. This is accomplished by disposing the coil windings in equal circumferential spacing and disposing the associated permanent magnets in non-symmetrical relationship so that the gaps between some of the magnets are different. In addition, the coil windings are such that no two coils of any phase are immediately adjacent each other in a circumferential direction. A method for calculating the optimum spacing is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5122931
Abstract: A chip type solid electrolytic capacitor comprises a plurality of anode plates on each of which an oxide thin layer, an electrolyte layer and a conductive layer are in turn formed, and a cathode plate interposed between the conductive layers of the plurality of anode plates when the anode plates are integratedly combined such that the respective conductive layers thereof are opposed to each other. Also, a method of producing the capacitor comprises the steps of forming layers on a plurality of anode plates, combining the anode plates, sealing a clearance between the anode plates with an insulating material, and bending a cathode plate and its terminal along an outer surface of the anode plate.

  • Patent number: 4303590
Abstract: The invention provides a novel method for the preparation of a lower alkyl, e.g. methyl, ester of fatty acid by the alcoholysis reaction of fatty acid glyceride, i.e. naturally occurring oils or fats, with a lower alcohol, according to which high-quality products containing very small amounts of colored or coloring impurities are readily obtained without the necessity of troublesome procedure or expensive apparatus as in the conventional methods. The inventive method is in principle a two-step alcoholysis reaction and the product obtained in the first step is separated from the by-product glycerine and then subjected to the second alcoholysis reaction followed by admixing of an appropriate amount of water and phase separation so that the undesirable impurities transfer into the aqueous layer and readily separated from the ester product.
