  • Patent number: 5300354
Abstract: A multi-layer construction film comprising at least one layer (A) of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and having an ethylene content of 20-60 mol %, and a melt index of .eta. Eg/10 min., at least one adhesive resin layer (B) of ethylene polymer and having a melt index of .eta. Ag/10 min. and density of not more than 0.90 g/cm.sup.3, and a plastic film (C) wherein the layer (B) is laminated adjacent to the plastic film (C), which satisfies the following formulas.0.5 .mu.m.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.20 .mu.m (1)0.5 .mu.m.ltoreq.b'.ltoreq.20 .mu.m (2)1 .mu.m.ltoreq.a+b.ltoreq.30 .mu.m (3)0.08.ltoreq..eta. E/.eta. A.ltoreq.8 (4)wherein a is the thickness of the entire layer (A), b is the thickness of the entire layer (B), and b' is the thickness of one layer of layer (B), and a method for producing same. The multi-layer construction film of the present invention has gas barrier properties, flex resistance, and resistance to boiling, and does not yellow at ultraviolet rays.

  • Patent number: 5069946
Abstract: This invention provides a gas-barrier multilayered packaging material which comprises an outer layer of a composition comprising 55-97 wt % of an EVCOH and 45-3 wt % of a resin selected from the group consisting of polyamide, polyolefin, polyester and polycarbonate and an inner layer comprising a hydrophobic thermoplastic resin having a low moisture permeability; and further provides a gas-barrier multilayered packaging material which comprises an outer layer comprising a resin layer having a moisture permeability (measured at 40.degree. C., 90% RH) of at least 40 g/m.sup.2 day, an intermediate layer of a composition comprising 55 to 97% by weight of an EVOH and 45 to 3% by weight of a resin selected from the group consisting of polyamide, polyolefin, polyester and polycarbonate and an inner layer comprising a hydrophobic thermoplastic resin layer having a moisture permeability lower than that of the outer layer.
