    Abstract: In a device for adjusting the support pressure of the passenger's thighs by raising or lowering a thigh support part in a seat cushion, a lock mechanism is mounted both in a seat frame and the thigh support pipe which rotates in the up and down directions of said seat frame. The lock mechanism consists of a lock piece pivotally fixed to a rotating shaft disposed horizontally in the thigh support pipe, a stopper which engages with the lock piece mounted rotatably free to the thigh support pipe and a lock release lever which releases a locking state by pushing said stopper in the direction opposite to its engaging direction.

    Abstract: A seat for vehicles such as automobiles etc., wherein a seatback is splitted into an upper part and a lower part and each of these splitted upper and lower parts is equipped with a respective reclining device. An intermediate releasing device which reclines the upper part is mounted on the opposite side in relation to the reclining device of the lower part and a lock release lever of the intermediate reclining device is also mounted on the opposite side in relation to the reclining device of the lower part.

    Abstract: A seat for vehicles is provided with a reclining device and a remote control means for remotely controlling the reclining device, in which seat an arm rest is pivotally mounted and provided at its forward end portion with the remote control means and at its upper portion with a recessed portion for receipt of one or more small articles. The arm rest has a linking mechanism arranged therewithin for mechanically linking the remote control means to the reclining device. The linking mechanism comprises a rod connected to the remote control means, a substantially V-shaped arm having a first leg portion and a second leg portion, of which leg portions the first leg portion is connected with the rod, an operation wire connected to the second leg portion of the substantially V-shaped arm and further connected to the reclining device and a spring extended between the first leg portion of the arm and the inner wall of the arm rest.

    Abstract: An improved lumbar support device for use in a seat back of a vehicle seat is disclosed in which upper and lower lumbar plates are mounted in two stages independent of each other and each of the lumbar plates is connected via a connecting member to an arm engageable with a polyhedral cam, whereby the above-mentioned upper and lower lumbar plates can be moved and operated independently of each other by rotating the polyhedral cam by means of rotation of a handle shaft.
