  • Patent number: 7102497
Abstract: First through third light reception elements 111–113 receive infrared data D from an operation input transmission section 2, and output the received data to an operation input permission determination section 12a. The operation input permission determination section 12a distinguishes among the first through third infrared light reception elements 111–113, thereby determining in which space an operation input has been performed, and analyzes the description of the operation input, thereby determining whether to accept the operation input. A calculation processing section 13a performs various processes based on the description of the operation input from the operation input permission determination section 12a, a processing result of a position detection section 17, and map data stored in a map data storage section 16. A drawing processing section 14a performs a process of outputting a processing result of the calculation processing section 13a to first and second displays 3 and 4.

  • Publication number: 20060156359
Abstract: In a stream reception device, before the user operates an input section (15), a control section (12) uses locational information of each of n number of selected stream transmission stations (2) to generate and send a distribution request (R), which is data for requesting distribution of a stream (ST) stored in each of the stream transmission stations (2). Then, each stream (ST) is buffered in a stream storage section (14) sequentially from a reproduction start portion thereof. Then, in the case where a stream (ST) to be a target is stored, the control section (12) reads the target stream (ST) from the stream storage section (14), sequentially from the reproduction start portion thereof, and reproduces the target stream (ST), in response to an operation on the input section (15).

  • Patent number: 7036936
Abstract: In a display system, a projector is mounted inside a vehicle, and emits a light beam, which is generated based on an image signal, toward an opening formed at a portion near a rear end of the vehicle. An exterior screen is extendable toward the opening and is made of a material having low stiffness. While being extended toward the opening, the exterior screen displays an image by allowing the light beam emitted by the projector to pass therethrough. A screen housing unit is mounted on or near one of a rear hatch and a back door of the vehicle for accommodating the exterior screen.

  • Patent number: 7031386
Abstract: A transmitter is capable of compressing an incoming image with a relatively small delay time and transmit the compressed image data to a receiver. Image data contains at least i pixel values of pixels arranged in line along a single direction, each pixel value being expressed in n bits. A transmitter for compressing such image data and transmitting the image data to a receiver via a transmission path includes a blocking section, a data compression section, and a data sending section. The blocking section takes every p pixel values among the i pixel values in the image data to form a data block, and sequentially outputs a plurality of the data blocks each including the p pixel values. The data compression section reduces an amount of data from each data block outputted from the blocking section and thereby outputs a compressed block. The data sending section sends the compressed block outputted from the data compression section onto the transmission path.

  • Patent number: 6972796
Abstract: A control device determines whether an image generated by merging several concurrently picked-up images has consistent image quality on a display device. If determined No, image quality parameters set in each image pickup device are so controlled as to make the image quality of the merged image consistent. Therefore, the merged image can assuredly have consistent image quality. Further, a signal processing device detects, based on positions of nodes and attributes of cameras, a connection indicating which node is connected to which camera and with what attribute. The signal processing device in advance stores every detectable connection and a plurality of image processing programs corresponding to each connection, and selects and carries out one of the image processing programs corresponding to the detected connection.

  • Patent number: 6971022
Abstract: A cryptographic apparatus reads, from a portable storage medium, content data and cryptographic information specifying a certain part of the content data on which cryptographic processing is to be performed, specifies the certain part in the read content data based on the read cryptographic information, and performs one of encryption and decryption on the certain part. When, for example, the content data is formed from alternating headers and variable-length data sections, the cryptographic information is a program formed from an instruction sequence. The instruction sequence has the cryptographic apparatus detect a header in the content data, read the length of the variable-length data, and perform cryptographic processing on a part of the content data between a start point and an end point, the start point being a position relative to the header position, and the end point being a value resulting from adding the length to the start point.

  • Publication number: 20050060887
Abstract: There is provided a method for producing a metal/ceramic bonding circuit board, which can form a fine pattern even if a circuit forming metal plate is thick and which can shorten the time required to carry out etching, when a molten metal is caused to contact to a ceramic substrate to be cooled and solidified to bond the circuit forming metal plate to the ceramic substrate to etch the circuit forming metal plate to form a metal circuit plate having a desired circuit pattern. After a molten metal is caused to contact both sides of a ceramic substrate 10 to be cooled and solidified. Thus, a circuit forming metal plate 12 having a shape similar to a desired circuit pattern is bonded to one side of the ceramic substrate 10, and a metal base plate 14 is bonded to the other side thereof. Then, etching resists 16 are printed on the circuit forming metal plate 12 to etch the circuit forming metal plate 12 to form metal circuit plates 12 having the desired circuit pattern.

  • Publication number: 20050007957
Abstract: Stream data and a command outputted from a drive device (101)are individually packetized in a first packet processing unit (102a). The stream data packet and the command packet are further multiplexed, and the multiplexed data is transmitted to a transmission path (104) using a synchronous channel. When the command outputted from a decoding unit (105) is packetized in a second packet processing unit (102b), it is packetized by multiplexing flow control information outputted from the decoding unit (105) on it, and transmitted to the first packet processing unit (102a) using a synchronous channel of the transmission path (104), and based on this flow control information, reading from and writing in the drive device (101) is controlled.
