  • Patent number: 5450376
Abstract: An optical information recording/reproducing apparatus realizes a direct verifying operation with a simple structure. A light beam emitted from a light source is converged on a track provided on an optical recording medium which is adapted to be moved relatively to the light beam. A super-resolution optical filter is provided in an optical path between the light source and the recording medium. The optical filter functions to produce a first light spot and a second light spot to be irradiated on the track such that the light intensity of the second light spot is lower than that of the first light spot and a recording signal is recorded using the first light spot. The signal recorded on the recording medium using the first light spot is reproduced by use of the reflected light caused upon the irradiation of the second light spot on the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5125041
Abstract: A still image processing method which can execute the effective flowing process is provided. In this method, when the flowing process is executed by shifting some or all of the pixels constituting a still image of one image plane in a predetermined direction, if no image information to be shifted exists at the first image position, the image information from elsewhere in the image plane is shifted to the second image position. The image information at the second image position is obtained by shifting the image information in the image plane in the direction opposite to the principal shifting direction.

  • Patent number: 4958217
Abstract: An image processing apparatus capable of extracting a particular image area from an image by designating a color hue of the desired particular image area. After indication on one or more points in an object region of interest, an initial range of hue or of brightness is designated, and a predetermined color is painted throughout a region adjacent to the indicated point(s) and having a hue or brightness, respectively, within the predetermined range. If that process results in the coloring of an area exceeding that which the operator desires to cover, the predetermined range of hue or brightness, as the case may be, is narrowed, and the process is repeated.
