  • Publication number: 20140001014
Abstract: A conveyor belt comprises woven fabric having a mesh structure which imparts the belt with air permeability permitting suction of air therethrough. In one embodiment, the woven fabric is such that a portion made in plain weave in a low-density weave pattern of prescribed width in which at least one warp yarn and at least one weft yarn are woven together alternates with a portion made in satin weave in a high-density weave pattern of prescribed width in which five to twelve warp yarns and the same at least one warp yarn as in the low-density weave pattern are woven together. This alternation of low-density weave pattern(s) and high-density weave pattern(s) may create stripe(s) disposed in the conveying direction of the belt. Portion(s) made in satin weave may be disposed at one or both side end(s) of the belt.

  • Patent number: 6907207
Abstract: A rotary body sealing material device. The device prevents leakage of powder, by effectively sealing en end of a rotary body with a simple structure. An end seal which prevents toner leakage by contacting an outer circumference of a developing roller, has a contact portion made of a sealing material of yarns including porous hollow fibers. The seal, made of hollow fiber, exhibits reduced repulsive elasticity during compression, and high hermeticity is attained in the yarns by applying only a relatively light load to such an extent that deformation is not formed in a pressure-applying supporting plate and the to-be-pressed developing roller, thereby maintaining seal integrity.

  • Publication number: 20030043361
Abstract: An object of the invention is to prevent leakage of powder, etc. by effectively sealing en end of a rotary body with a simple structure. An end seal which prevents toner leakage by contacting an outer circumference of a developing roller, has a contact portion made of a sealing material of yarns including porous hollow fibers. Being made of hollow fiber, the seal exhibits reduced repulsive elasticity during compression, and high hermeticity is attained in the yarns by applying only a relatively light load to such an extent that deformation in a pressure-applying supporting plate and the to-be-pressed developing roller is not caused, thereby maintaining sealability. The seal is freely deformable so as for a stepped portion to be sealed effectively. By mixing non-hollow fibers, the seal can be partially provided with elasticity. By mixing electrically conductive fibers, the seal can be used in a region where static protection is necessitated.

  • Patent number: 5929880
Abstract: A powder particle lumping recording apparatus low in cost and high in printing quality is disclosed. Toner 12 having a magnetic property contained in a toner container 21 is conveyed by a developing roller 11 constituting a magnet roller, and jumped under the effect of the electric field controlled by a control electrode formed on an FPC 22. The toner 12 is accelerated by the acceleration voltage for the conductive roller 15, attaches on a recording material inserted between the control electrode 13 and the conductive roller 15, and thus forms an image. The conductive roller 15 contains a magnet 16 therein. With the approach of the magnet 16 to the control electrode 13 by rotation of the conductive roller 15, the toner 12 can be attracted off. The toner 12 attached on the surface of the conductive roller 15 is mechanically removed by a cleaning blade 17 and accumulated in a housing 18. The conductive roller 15, the cleaning blade 17 and the housing 18 make up an easily-demountable cleaning unit 19.

  • Patent number: 5485244
Abstract: To attach or detach a process cartridge to or from a support member of an LED printer, an upper housing is angularly displaced and opened around a supporting position relative to a lower housing. As the upper housing is gradually opening relatively to the lower housing, the support member is angularly displaced around a connection position with the lower housing to be separated from the upper housing. Then, a used process cartridge can be detached from the support member and another new process cartridge can be attached thereto, thereby allowing such maintenance operation to be easily performed.

  • Patent number: 4780741
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for forming a toner layer adapted for electrophotographic developing apparatuses for developing using magnetic toner. Toner carried on a toner carrier and flowing toward the developing position is regulated in thickness by a toner layer thickness regulating member contacting the surface of the toner carrier. Lines of magnetic force are applied to the toner layer having a regulated thickness so as to stir the toner conveyed toward the developing position, thereby forming a uniform toner layer at the downstream side. The toner layer thickness regulating member can be a thin plate member of a nonmagnetic material having elasticity, or a rigid blade having a pivotal proximal end. The toner is stirred in a repulsive magnetic field forming region formed between a magnetic blade and the toner carrier.
