  • Patent number: 11953843
Abstract: A powder container includes a powder chamber for containing powder for forming images, a powder outlet formed in a face of the powder container, and a shutter assembly to open and close the powder outlet and including first and second shutters. The first shutter is movable between a sealing position to close the powder outlet and an open position to open the powder outlet and includes a pressed member to cancel retention of the first shutter at the sealing position. The second shutter includes a pressing projection that interferes with the pressed member of the first shutter and is movable between a shielding position to cover the pressed member without interference between the pressing projection and the pressed member and a releasing position to press the pressed member with the pressing projection.

  • Patent number: 9494061
Abstract: A control device controls a valve timing changer to retard a phase of an exhaust valve camshaft with respect to a crankshaft such that the time of opening of an intake valve is earlier than the time of closing the exhaust valve after a top dead center, when a determiner determines that an engine is not in a warm-up stage in a low-load operation. The control device controls the valve timing changer to advance the phase of the exhaust valve camshaft with respect to the crankshaft such that the time of closing the exhaust valve is earlier than the time of opening of the intake valve after the top dead center, when the determiner determines that the engine is at the warm-up stage in the low-load operation.

  • Publication number: 20050037117
Abstract: A method for producing a beverage containing chlorophyll which has water and, dispersed therein, a material 16 containing chlorophyll and an oil and/or fat component having been extracted from a mixture 10 of excreta of silkworms (main component), leaves of a mulberry tree, and the like, characterized in that it comprises the steps of admixing the chlorophyll containing material 16 and a treating water at a given ratio and of subjecting the resulting mixture to an ultrasonic emulsification treatment, wherein the treating water 17 is substantially free of (1) fine solid particles dispersed therein, (2) a bacterium or a virus putrefying the chlorophyll containing material 16, (3) a substance reacting with the chlorophyll containing material 16 and (4) a substance coagulating a dispersion of the chlorophyll containing material 16.

  • Patent number: 5531906
Abstract: A process for treating sodium hydroxide waste liquor containing aluminum, comprising the steps of: adding, to aluminum-containing sodium hydroxide waste liquor, at least one of MgO and Mg(OH).sub.2 in an amount of 0.5 to 3 moles with respect to 1 mole of aluminum to cause a reaction at 70.degree. C. or more; and separating and removing a precipitated magnesium-aluminum compound is disclosed. The present invention makes it possible to recover recyclable sodium hydroxide from an aluminum-containing sodium hydroxide waste liquor. Even if the recovering procedure is repeated, no carbonate ions are accumulated. Therefore, it is possible to prevent degradation of the treating solution containing sodium hydroxide. Further, the by-product is a useful compound, and thus, there is no problem in the reprocessing or disposal of the by-product.

  • Patent number: 5214500
Abstract: Characteristics of a color encoder can be measured under the same condition as a practical operation without modifying the color encoder as a device under test. A test signal generator generates R, G and B component signals as test signals and they are applied simultaneously to the color encoder. The output amplitudes and/or output phases of the component signals from the test signal generator are adjusted such that the color encoder produces at least one of a luminance signal, an I-axis signal and a Q-axis signal in accordance with a measurement item.

  • Patent number: 5161020
Abstract: An apparatus for transmitting an NTSC color signal superposed with a signal corresponding to monochromatic characters with a colored contour, which is obtained from a color character super device, comprises a first circuit responsive the NTSC signal from the color character super device to determine an area on a television receiver screen on which signal out of NTSC signal standard may be displayed, a second circuit for deriving chrominance signal spectrum out of NTSC standard and means for gating the chrominance signal spectrum with an output of the first circuit and then for subtracting the gated chrominance signal spectrum from the NTSC signal to thereby at least reduce signal component thereof out of the NTSC standard signal.

  • Patent number: 5142364
Abstract: A high resolution color television system, in the transmitting device of which part of pixels are thinned out in both horizontal and vertical directions and the remaining pixels are vertically gathered in the central portion of the image screen to form an image signal, leaving upper and lower blank portions, and horizontal and vertical informations indicating the quantitative relations between the removed pixels and the vertically and horizontally adjoining pixels are treated as first and second auxiliary signals and inserted in the upper and lower blank portions to form a television signal for transmission, and in the receiving device of which the image signal and the auxiliary signals are separated from the television signal and respectively treated in a manner opposite to that in the transmitting device to recover the original image signal for display by a kinescope.

  • Patent number: 5032916
Abstract: For canceling ghost components disturbing a received picture signal waveform in the television transmission such as the television broadcast, ghost components of a reference pulse signal inserted at a central portion of a horizontal scanning period in a vertical blanking period of a picture signal is detected and then the received picture signal is processed such as those ghost components of the inserted reference signal are canceled by each other. In this signal processing, an auxiliary reference signal, the waveform and/or the level of which differ from those of the principal reference signal, the latter being occasionally almost zero, is inserted in a horizontal scanning period delayed from the principal reference signal by a repetition period after the lapse of which regular controlling signals such as synchronizing signals and color bursts having just the same waveform, level and phase reappear.
