Abstract: An electronic instrument includes: a display control unit for displaying a control content corresponding to the command information based on the result of the speech recognition; an instruction unit for instructing that a control for the control content displayed by the display control unit, is cancelled; a control unit for performing the control based on the command information based on the result of the speech recognition after a predetermined standby time elapses since the control content corresponding to the command information based on the result of the speech recognition starts to be displayed by the display control unit when the instruction unit does not instruct that the control for the control content is cancelled within the predetermined standby time, and for canceling the control based on the command information based on the result of the speech recognition when the instruction unit instructs that the control is cancelled within the predetermined standby time.

Abstract: A digital television broadcast receiver includes a memory section, a reception section and a control section. The memory section stores a channel list associating selected channel numbers with broadcast signals, respectively. Each of the broadcast signals includes a country identifier indicative of a country from which the broadcast signal is transmitted. The memory section stores reception country information indicative of a country that is preset as a reception country, and compliance information indicative of countries that have a rule to transmit a broadcast signal with a logical channel number for high-resolution broadcast. The control section registers the logical channel number for the high-resolution broadcast of a first broadcast signal if the reception country matches both the country of the country identifier and one of the countries of the compliance information, and if the first broadcast signal includes the logical channel number for the high-resolution broadcast.

Abstract: A broadcast receiving device includes a program control storage component, a channel setting component, a program control determination component, a program control execution component, a user determination component and an operation control component. The program control determination component determines whether or not viewing control is enabled for a program corresponding to a channel set by the channel setting component based on program control information stored in the program control storage component. The program control execution component executes the viewing control for the program when the program control determination component determines that the viewing control is enabled for the program. The operation control component disables the viewing control executed by the program control execution component when the user determination component determines that individual identification information identifying a user matches the preset individual identification information.
