The recommendation information providing method provides a user of a vehicle with an activity experienceable after transportation by the vehicle, by using an information providing apparatus connected to an in-vehicle machine and house equipment via a network, and includes: acquiring first information transmitted from the in-vehicle machine mounted in the vehicle and second information transmitted from the house equipment provided in a house where the user resides; selecting, based on the first information and the second information, information on the activity experienceable after transportation by the vehicle, from among activities in an activity information database in which a plurality of pieces of information on the activity is registered; and providing equipment possessed by the user with the selected information on the activity as recommendation information.

    Abstract: A method for controlling a vehicle navigation system is provided. The vehicle navigation system includes: an in-vehicle camera configured to capture at least one occupant in a vehicle and detect a line-of-sight direction of the at least one occupant based on a captured image of the at least one occupant; and an in-vehicle device including a touchscreen configured to accept an operation of the at least one occupant and display information. The method includes: acquiring a detection result including a line-of-sight direction of a driver of the at least one occupant and the captured image; and accepting an input operation for information displayed on the touchscreen and accepting a touch operation on the touchscreen by an occupant in a passenger seat, based on the line-of-sight direction of the driver from the detection result.

    Abstract: To provide a signal transmission system which can increase the number of slave stations being coupled with a simple configuration, A master station 10 communicates with a plurality of slave stations 20 each having an antenna 25. The slave station 20 includes a frequency converter 26 for converting a signal of a radio frequency band received through the antenna into an intermediate frequency band signal, and an E/O converter 27 for converting an electrical signal into an optical signal. The master station 10 includes O/E converters 14a to 14c for converting signals received from the slave stations 20 into electrical signals, respectively, a synthesizer 17 for synthesizing the signals thus converted into the electrical signals and a frequency converter 18 for converting the synthesized signal into a radio frequency band signal.
