    Abstract: An electric remote-controlled rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mirror pivotally supported by a three point pivot connection of which the center pivot connection is stationary to permit angular movement of the mirror therearound. The remaining two pivot connections are spaced a predetermined angle from each other about the center pivot connection and are connected to rod members which are individually actuatable for longitudinal movement by at least one electric reversible motor to thereby positively angularly adjust the mirror around the center pivot connection. The drive of the motor is transmitted to the rod members through nut members. The rod members is made of an elastic material with providing threads whereas the nut members is made of a rigid material with providing teeth to be meshed with the threads of the rod members.

    Abstract: A lock lever is pivotally supported by a frame secured to the vehicle body, the intermediate portion of a webbing for restraining an occupant is wound around a contact member secured to said lock lever, and, when the tension of the webbing is increased in an emergency, said lock lever turns whereby lock members clamp the intermediate portion of the webbing to lock same, so that the occupant can be restrained. Particularly, the contact member, during normal condition of the vehicle, is supported by a small diameter portion to smoothly guide the webbing, and, in an emergency of the vehicle, comes into contact at a large diameter portion thereof with said lock lever to receive a resisting force to the rotation, so that the portion of the webbing locked by the lock members can be decreased in tension.

    Abstract: One end of a webbing for restraining an occupant is wound up by a retractor installed on a door so that the webbing can be fitted to or released from the occupant seated as the door is closed or opened. An engaging portion is formed on the retractor and an engageable portion for receiving said engaging portion when the door is closed is provided in the body of vehicle, said engaging and engageable portions imparting a high tension of the webbing to the body of vehicle during an emergency of the vehicle, so that the webbing can reliably restrain the occupant.
