Patent number: 8650767Abstract: A coordinates measuring head unit is provided, which is compact, inexpensive, and capable of performing high-precision measurements at high speeds, and facilitates, for example, measurements conducted on machine tools or in-situ measurements on transport lines. The head unit includes: drive means (an X-axis drive section, a Y-axis drive section, and a Z-axis drive section), an integrated housing for accommodating the drive means, and fixture means (fixture surface). The drive means allows a probe to be moved by computer numerical control along a plurality of drive axis, which are orthogonal to each other, and abut against a measuring target to measure the dimensions of the measuring target. The fixture means is provided on one of side surfaces of the housing to attach one of the drive means to a support (a support on a stand secured to a base).Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2011Date of Patent: February 18, 2014Assignee: Mitutoyo CorporationInventors: Sadayuki Matsumiya, Susumu Yoshioka, Shuichi Kamiyama, Tomoyuki Miyazaki, Masanori Arai

Patent number: 4805314Abstract: A method of and apparatus for effecting spatial coordinate measurement of the contour or the like of an object to be measured in which a plurality of probes are successively used in accordance with the modes of measurement. In one of the probes adapted for measuring the roundness or the like the object, the posture of the probing tip can be changed relative to the main body of the probe by the driving operation of a threaded shaft which extends in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the main body of the probe. A means for driving this threaded shaft is disposed on the side of a probe stocker. The posture of the probing tip is thereby preliminarily changed so as to enable a corresponding predetermined measuring process in which the probe will be used.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1987Date of Patent: February 21, 1989Assignee: Mitutoyo CorporationInventors: Koji Hayashi, Susumu Yoshioka, Noritsugu Ono

Patent number: 4597856Abstract: A process for fluidized catalytic cracking of heavy oils and production of hydrogen is described, comprising contacting steam and heavy oils with fluidized catalyst particles containing reduced iron at high temperatures, wherein a fluidized bed is formed such that the catalyst particles are fed from the bottom and withdrawn from the top of the fluidized bed and the fluidized bed is provided with a means for retarding the mixing rate of the catalyst particles in the vertical direction, to thereby generate a temperature difference between zones of the fluidized bed above and below said means, and use the upper zone for cracking of heavy oils and the lower zone for production of hydrogen. Catalyst particles withdrawn from the fluidized bed may be regenerated and recycled. Thus, light oils and hydrogen can be produced in high yields.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 1984Date of Patent: July 1, 1986Assignee: Processing Research Association of Residual OilInventors: Susumu Yoshioka, Nobuo Matsuo, Nobuyasu Meguri, Tadashi Murakami, Yasushi Ishibashi, Kenichi Matsuda, Teruo Suzuka, Satoshi Fukase, Hidetaka Ohse

Patent number: 4294803Abstract: In a reactor for cracking heavy hydrocarbon oil through a fluidized bed of the particles of natural ores, coke-like materials are deposited on a top of the reactor or pipe inside surfaces of a transfer line from the reactor to a scrubber. To effectively scour out the deposited coke-like materials, particles of natural ores having a mean diameter of a few hundred .mu.m is made to be contained in an effluent gas from the top of reactor, passing through the transfer line at a concentration of 1 to 40 g/m.sup.3. The particles of natural ores have a good effect of scouring out the deposited coke-like materials and can keep the transfer line efficiently clean even with a small amount of the particles of natural ores, decreasing a pressure drop in the transfer line.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 1979Date of Patent: October 13, 1981Assignees: Hitachi, Ltd., Nippon Mining Co., Ltd.Inventors: Seiichi Uchida, Yoshihito Satomi, Norihiro Kiuchi, Takeo Yamagata, Susumu Yoshioka, Tomohiko Miyamoto, Jinichi Tomuro
