  • Publication number: 20230330604
Abstract: Molecularly porous cross-linked membranes (MPCMs) are described. For example, MPCMs prepared by interfacial polymerization of a reactive macrocycle monomer with intrinsic microporous structure are provided. Macrocycles with multiple reacting sites for cross-linking provide a hyper-cross-linked network suitable for molecular separations employing polar or apolar solvents including organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN).

  • Publication number: 20220143560
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe an isoporous polymer membrane comprising a polymeric film having a plurality of isopores, wherein the isoporous polymer membrane is characterized in that it has one or more of the following features: a porosity of about 20% or greater, a plurality of isopores arranged in an ordered array, wherein the plurality of isopores extend from a first membrane surface to a second membrane surface along an axis perpendicular to the first and second membrane surfaces, a membrane size of about 45 cm2 or greater, and a pore size of about 2 ?m or less. Embodiments of the present disclosure also describe methods of fabricating the isoporous polymer membranes, applications using the isoporous polymer membranes, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20210179450
Abstract: Fluorinated polyazoles, porous membranes made therefrom, methods of making the porous membrane, and methods of using the porous membrane for purifying water, are described. For example, the present disclosure describes fluorinated polyoxadiazoles and polytriazoles that are capable of fabricating flat sheet, hollow fiber, and electrospun porous membranes are described.
