  • Publication number: 20220022201
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, performed in a wireless device, for multiple communications between the wireless device and a plurality of network nodes of a plurality of networks, the plurality of network nodes comprising a first network node of a first network and a second network node of a second network. The wireless device comprises a wireless interface with a single radio transceiver configured to communicate with the first network node and the second network node. The method comprises determining a first time pattern parameter indicative of a first communication with the first network node, and a second time pattern parameter indicative of a second communication with the second network node. The method comprises requesting via the single radio transceiver, to the first network node that the first communication is scheduled based on the first time pattern parameter.

  • Patent number: 10063991
Abstract: A mobile communication device (100) sends a request (402) to a bootstrap server (310). The request (402) indicates selection information for selecting bootstrap data at the bootstrap server (310). The bootstrap server (310) selects the bootstrap data and sends the selected bootstrap data (404) to the mobile communication device (100). The mobile communication device (100) receives the selected bootstrap data (404) and, depending on the received bootstrap data (404), configures settings for management of the mobile communication device by a device management server (210).

  • Publication number: 20090040925
Abstract: A UE is described herein that has a defined QoS database which is used to organize and store various QoS parameter sets which are used to help establish media flows. In one embodiment, the QoS database includes a plurality of tables, where each table is associated with a particular application, and where each table has a plurality of rows, and where each row includes a media type, a requested QoS parameter set, and an optional minimum QoS parameter set. An operator can use a communication network to populate/provision the QoS database. An operator can also use the communication network to fine-tune (update) the QoS database which enables them to enhance the bearer QoS for existing applications and to enable the appropriate bearer QoS for future applications.

  • Publication number: 20080267152
Abstract: A system and method for discovery of and access to service in a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) environment by user equipment (UE) when roaming. The UE may be associated with a plurality of URLs including a home URL and a symbolic URL. When the UE is roaming, the symbolic URL is resolved by a local DNS server to a local URL that is assessed by a local Service Discovery server to determine the MBMS services that may be accessed by the UE in the visiting network. Further, when roaming, the home URL is resolved by the local DNS server and forwarded to a home Service Discovery server where the home URL is assessed to determine the MBMS services that may be accessed by the UE in the home network. Accordingly, the UE is operable to access home network MBMS services as well as visiting network MBMS services when roaming.

  • Publication number: 20070106770
Abstract: A communication element used for remote management of information in a data processing apparatus includes an informational content portion and an identification portion associated with the informational content portion. During processing of the communication element, and in response to the identification portion, the informational content portion is used to produce an identifier to be associated with information contained in the informational content portion.

  • Publication number: 20060242305
Abstract: Current specifications/proposals use client provisioning or device management for provisioning bearer-specific configuration and application-specific configuration of communication devices. A proxy management object (MO) can, for example, set up tunnels according to particular protocols between application MOs and a generic connectivity MO. A communication device's application configuration can then refer to such a proxy MO, and the proxy MO can refer to the connectivity MO. This enables addition of functionality like virtual private network and wireless local area network functionality without affecting the connectivity MO or the different application MOs.
