Abstract: A method for producing a firefighting medium from water (W) and a liquefied gas, such as liquid nitrogen (LN) or liquid carbon dioxide, a fire extinguisher (200) for extinguishing a fire with the produced firefighting medium, and a method for extinguishing a fire with the produced firefighting medium, wherein the firefighting medium (FFM) is produced by spraying a pressurized jet of water (WJ) out of a nozzle (201) at a pressure of, for instance, at least 50 bar and mixing a proportion of liquid nitrogen (LN) into the jet of water (WJ).

Abstract: Formable absorbent that is shaped into a plug for insertion into a passage, such as a nasal passage or an ear canal. This plug comprises a material that can be compressed, it thereafter expanding against a surrounding wall and generating a pressure against said wall, said plug having at least one through hole for the passage of air, said plug also being able to contain medicinal preparations for various purposes (e.g. stanching).
