  • Publication number: 20200289096
Abstract: A system and method for acquiring standard ultrasound scan plane views is provided. The method includes acquiring a scan plane by an ultrasound probe positioned at a scan position over a region of interest. The method includes identifying the scan plane as a first standard view. The method includes automatically adjusting a scan acquisition angle until a second standard view is determined. The adjusting the scan acquisition angle includes rotating and/or tilting the scan acquisition angle. The method includes acquiring, by the ultrasound probe positioned at the scan position, an additional scan plane at the adjusted scan acquisition angle until the second standard view is determined. The method includes automatically determining whether the additional scan plane is the second standard view. The method includes presenting the additional scan plane having the second standard view at a display system.

  • Publication number: 20190388060
Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system and method accesses an imaging protocol for an ultrasound imaging session. The imaging protocol includes designated views that are to be obtained to complete the imaging protocol. Image data is acquired with an ultrasound imaging system, and artificial intelligence is used to identify a portion of the image data corresponding to at least one of the designated views of the imaging protocol. The identified portion of the image data corresponding to the designated view(s) of imaging protocol is automatically saved, and a graphical progress-of-completeness indicator of the imaging protocol is displayed that indicates that one or more of: the designated views of the imaging protocol that have been acquired and/or that one or more additional designated views of the imaging protocol have yet to be acquired.

  • Publication number: 20190076127
Abstract: A system and method for automatically selecting ultrasound image loops from a continuously captured stress echocardiogram is provided. The method may include continuously capturing ultrasound image data of a heart. The method may include separating the continuously captured ultrasound image data into image loops. Each of the image loops may have a predetermined number of heart cycles. The method may include automatically assigning an image view type from to at least a portion of the image loops. The method may include automatically assigning an image characteristic metric to each of the image loops having the assigned image view type. The method may include automatically presenting, at a display system, an image loop for each of the image view types based on the image characteristic metric.

  • Publication number: 20190012432
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein generally relate to reviewing ultrasound images between different ultrasound exams. The systems and methods acquire a plurality of ultrasound images of an anatomical structure during a first ultrasound exam based on ultrasound data received from an ultrasound probe, analyze the ultrasound images to identify an anatomical characteristic in the ultrasound images, group the ultrasound images into groups based on the anatomical characteristics, and display at least one group of the ultrasound image on a graphical user interface (GUI).

  • Publication number: 20190008480
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein generally relate to identifying ultrasound images from multiple ultrasound exams. The systems and methods identify a first ultrasound image feature of a current ultrasound image of an anatomical structure during a current ultrasound exam based on ultrasound data received from an ultrasound probe, and accessing a plurality of prior ultrasound images that were acquired during a prior ultrasound exam. The systems and methods compare the first ultrasound image feature in the current ultrasound image with related ultrasound image features in the plurality of prior ultrasound images to identify candidate ultrasound images. The systems and methods identify a resultant ultrasound image from the candidate ultrasound images based on the related ultrasound image features, and display the current and resultant ultrasound images on a display.

  • Publication number: 20170124271
Abstract: Various embodiments include a system and method for sharing, distributing, ranking, and searching medical device configuration items. The method can include receiving a request, transmitted over a network to a server, to search medical configuration items stored at the server. Each of the medical configuration items may be associated with a rating. Each of the medical configuration items may be applied to perform a medical task. The method may include providing, by the server, a list of relevant medical configuration items based on the search request. The relevant medical configuration items may be listed in an order based on the rating. The method can include receiving a selection, at the server, of one of the relevant medical configuration items provided in the list. The method may include distributing, by the server, the selected one of the relevant medical configuration items over the network.

  • Publication number: 20130211254
Abstract: Ultrasound acquisition Information about a structure (701) within a body is acquired by providing data defining a non-straight line (42b), at least a part of which corresponds to the structure (701); transmitting an ultrasound transmit signal (44b) into the body; receiving reflections (400-402) of the transmit signal (44b); processing the received reflections (400-402) so as to trace the focal point (403-405) of a receive beam along the path of the non-straight line (42b); using reflections (400-402) of the transmit signal (44b) from along the non-straight line (42a) to acquire information about the structure (701).

  • Patent number: 7678050
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting cardiac events. Ultrasonic data comprising a heart cycle is acquired by a probe. Tissue velocities associated with the ultrasonic data are detected. One of a maximum and a minimum value is detected based on the tissue velocities. A time within the heart cycle associated with the maximum or minimum value is determined, and a cardiac event is detected with respect to the time within the heart cycle and the maximum or minimum value.
