    Abstract: A hypodermic syringe is provided with aspiration effect and comprises a cylindrical member or ampoule, a piston, a piston rod and an aspiration rod, which is connected to the piston. The aspiration rod extends through a channel in the piston rod and is at its remote end from the piston provided with or connected to an actuating member. By means of said actuating member the aspiration rod can be displaced in the channel in the piston rod, thereby displacing the piston or a part of the piston relative to the ampoule, thus performing aspiration.
