  • Patent number: 4831686
Abstract: A combined vacuum cleaning tool comprises two mutually movable parts, such as a flat surface nozzle (12) and a brush nozzle (10) which are alternatively adjustable between working and non-working positions, the flat surface nozzle being resiliently actuated to occupy its working position. An adjusting mechanism comprises control means (15) rotatably supported by the brush nozzle and cooperating with a means (18, 21) attached to the flat surface nozzle in order to move the brush nozzle into engagement with a working surface during a first phase and remove the flat surface nozzle from the working surface during a second phase.

  • Patent number: 4688294
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner nozzle comprises a housing (10) having first and second air inlets (13,15) adapted to different cleaning duties. Each of the inlets is connected to a respective outlet (17,19) via a separate duct (16,18). The outlets are arranged on different sides of the housing and are separated by a partition (20) to form two independent sockets for a tube handle connected to a vacuum source.

  • Patent number: 4360948
Abstract: A vacuum cleaning nozzle consists of only two parts, i.e. a flat surface nozzle and a brush nozzle, which alternatively can be brought into contact with a work surface. The flat surface nozzle is provided with a casing for introducing of a pipe piece for the attachment of the nozzle to a suction hose, and both nozzles are lockable to each other by a locking member which is inserted between the brush nozzle and the casing.

  • Patent number: 4351083
Abstract: A nozzle for a vacuum cleaning apparatus having two movable working members, that is a brush nozzle and flat surface nozzle which can be alternately brought into contact with a working surface, such as a floor, by means of an actuating member operating between two end positions. A blocking means is arranged to block the actuating member in either of the end positions. The flat surface nozzle is arranged to be lowered to a position on the working surface in which the flat surface nozzle is located below the front edge of the brush nozzle in order to pick up dust and dirt near vertical surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4199838
Abstract: An indicating device for a vacuum cleaner having means which operates as a result of the pressure difference between the inside of a filter dust container and the outside thereof and is provided with means for communicating the degree of clogging of the dust container through a signalling device in the form of a light source or light sources that gives a visual indication of the amount of clogging of the paper dust container.

  • Patent number: 4193292
Abstract: An indicating device for vacuum cleaners, or similar apparatus, utilizing a dust container. The indicating device such as a diaphragm, is under the influence of a pressure differential and is movable against a force of a spring to give a visual indication from the outside of the vacuum cleaner of the degree of filling of the dust container therein. The motor of the vacuum cleaner has a motor regulator and the overall arrangement is provided with a unit for continuously varying the tension of the spring against the force of which the indicating device is movable. This invention relates to an indicating device for vacuum cleaners or similar apparatus having dust container with means which under the influence of a pressure differential is movable against the force of a spring and has a signalling device visible from the outside of the means for continuous visual indication of the degree of clogging of the dust container.
