  • Publication number: 20190092336
Abstract: A method for determining an incline of a road on which a vehicle is located includes importing image data of an environment of the vehicle, the image data being generated by an image sensor. The method further includes identifying a defined reference object in the environment of the vehicle from the image data and identifying a relationship between the identified reference object and a defined reference system of the image sensor. The method also includes estimating the incline of the road on the basis of the identified relationship and providing a signal representing the incline of the road.

  • Publication number: 20190092290
Abstract: A method for determining a slope of a roadway on which a vehicle is located includes imputing image data, supplied by an image sensor, pertaining to surroundings of the vehicle, identifying a defined reference object in the surroundings of the vehicle using the image data, determining an angle relationship between the reference object and the surroundings, estimating a slope of the roadway with reference to the determined angle relationship, and generating a signal indicative of the slope of the roadway. A device for determining a slope of a roadway on which a vehicle is located is configured to execute such a method.

  • Publication number: 20080303709
Abstract: In a radar system for monitoring targets in different distance ranges, radar pulses are emitted whose length is greater than the length corresponding to the propagation time between two objects to be distinguished from one another, located at different distances. On the receive side the high-frequency signal supplied to the radar transmit pulse former and the radar receive signal are supplied to a mixer. The output signal of the mixer is supplied to a signal analyzer via at least one sampler, whose delay setting with respect to the rising edge of the radar transmit pulse predefines the limit of reach of the distance range to be monitored.
