Patent number: 10512944Abstract: An electric power washer contains a main body having a pump and an electric power source, a hose, a handle, and a control circuit. The hose contains a first end fluidly-connected to the pump and a second end fluidly-connected to the handle, which has a button operatively-connected to the control circuit, which is operatively-connected to the pump and the electric power source. The control circuit controls the pump output and contains a timer. The control circuit permits the pump to normally operate at up to 100% normal power. However, when the button is activated, the control circuit permits the pump to operate at a boost power mode of from about 103% normal power to about 300% normal power. The control circuit intermittently pulses the boost power mode and terminates the boost power mode after a predetermined period of time or when the button is no longer activated, whichever is shorter.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2016Date of Patent: December 24, 2019Assignee: TTI (MACAO COMMERCIAL OFFSHORE) LIMITEDInventors: Todd Rickey, Sven Eschrich

Patent number: 10337483Abstract: The various implementations described herein include apparatuses and methods used to operate engine-based equipment using an electric starter motor. In one aspect, a method for operating an apparatus includes starting an electric starter motor. In response to starting the electric starter motor, the electric starter motor is coupled to a flywheel and the flywheel is turned. In response to turning the flywheel, an engine coupled to the flywheel via a power take-off of the engine is started. After starting the engine, the electric starter motor is decoupled from the flywheel and thus from the engine, and the engine is used to turn the flywheel, thereby enabling operation of a primary assembly coupled to the flywheel.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2017Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: TTI (MACAO COMMERCIAL OFFSHORE) LIMITEDInventors: Mark E. Publication number: 20150174598Abstract: A spray gun for use with a pressure washer including a body with a nozzle and a handle. A trigger is coupled to the body and pivotable relative to the handle. A conduit extends through the nozzle and defines a fluid outlet. A valve housing defines a fluid inlet and includes a first chamber, a second chamber, and a valve seat including an aperture. A piston includes a valve member moveably disposed within the first chamber and a linkage extending between the trigger and the valve member. A biasing mechanism is positioned within the chamber and biases the valve member such that at least a portion of the valve member is retained within the aperture. Actuation of the trigger displaces the valve member and the linkage against the bias of the biasing mechanism to selectively allow fluid to flow from the inlet to the outlet through the aperture.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2013Publication date: June 25, 2015Applicant: Techtronic Outdoor Products Technology LimitedInventor: Sven Eschrich

Patent number: 8987938Abstract: A hybrid engine and battery generator and a method of operating the same. The generator is controlled to operate in at least three modes: a battery-only mode, a battery charging mode, and a boost mode. In the battery-only mode, the engine is off and an internal battery of the generator is used by an inverter to generate AC output. In the battery charging mode, the engine generates DC power, via an alternator and rectifier, which is used to charge the battery and to supply power to the inverter to generate AC output. In the boost mode, the battery and the engine generate DC power that is used by the inverter to generate an AC output with increased wattage, relative to the battery-only mode and battery charging mode. The generator automatically switches between the modes based on battery level and load demand.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2012Date of Patent: March 24, 2015Assignee: Techtronic Outdoor Products Technology LimitedInventors: Sven Eschrich, Klaus Hahn
