  • Publication number: 20040182036
Abstract: A joint for panels, the panels comprising a core, a decorative upper surface and edges provided with joining means for positioning the panels towards one another. Predetermined portions of the edges are provided with a layer of polymer. The panels are joined to one another by use of the joining means where the polymer forms a seal in the joint preventing penetration of water into the joint wherein a highly water resistant unit of a plurality of panels is formed.

  • Publication number: 20040137180
Abstract: Means for installation of panels, the panels comprising a core, a decorative upper surface and edges provided with joining means for positioning the panels towards one another. Predetermined portions of the edges are provided with an encapsulated agent which is made present on the edges of the surface elements before assembly and which encapsulation is ruptured by means of assembly making the agent available to the core. The surface elements are hereby joined to one another by use of the joining means wherein a unit of a plurality of surface elements is formed.

  • Publication number: 20040123558
Abstract: Moulding strip, preferably a moulding strip for use in the transition between a floor covering and a wall, which floor covering consists of floor elements provided with a decor. Decor comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations which demarcations are arranged at a predetermined mutual distance A. The moulding strip is provided with a decor which comprises a number of decor elements with intermediate demarcations. The demarcations are arranged at a mutual distance A′ whereby A=A′±(0,1×A), preferably is A=A′±(0.05×A), most preferably A=A′±(0.005×A).

  • Patent number: 6745534
Abstract: Transition profile (2) for floors, preferably hard floors comprising a number of joined floor elements which together forms a floor section (1). A transition profile (2) is arranged on one end of a floor section (1) or between two floor sections (1). The transition profile (2) includes an assembly profile (3) and a covering profile (4), whereby the covering profile (4) via a base member (40) is attached to the assembly profile (3) which in its turn is mounted on a foundation (10). The base member (40) is shaped as a longitudinal profile with a, also longitudinal, pivot axle (41). Edge members (42)on the base member (40) have a mainly radial cross section. The assembly profile (3)is provided with two, upwardly directed and mainly parallel cheeks (31) which cheeks (31) are intended to clutch the base member (40) whereby the cover profile (4) can be continuously adapted to height variations in the subfloor, by allowing turning around the pivot axle (41).

  • Publication number: 20030159389
Abstract: A thin decorative thermosetting laminate of postforming quality is glued to a longitudinal carrier to form a floor strip. The laminate has a thermosetting resin as well as hard particles impregnated therein to increase the abrasion resistance of the laminate. The carrier generally has a cross section of a dilatation, transition or a finishing profile, depending on the intended use of the floor strip. The floor strip has a tab portion on a surface that engages a channel on a floor tile or a reducer. The tab portion locks the floor strip into place and prevents movement of the floor tile or the reducer with respect to the floor strip.

  • Publication number: 20030141004
Abstract: A process for installation of surface elements, the surface elements comprising a core, a decorative upper surface and edges provided with joining means for mechanically locking the surface elements together. Predetermined portions of the edges are provided with a glue which is present on the edges of the surface elements in a passive dry form and which may be activated by applying a liquid. The glue is provided with an indicator means which indicator means indicates the difference between a passive glue and an activated glue. The surface elements are joined to each other by use of the joining means wherein a unit of a plurality of surface elements is formed.
