  • Patent number: 10393677
Abstract: A method and an X-ray apparatus generate a projective X-ray representation of an examination object. Two projective images obtained from a phase contrast measurement are adapted to each other in respect of their representation format and a result image is generated by combining the adapted images. The result image allows extensive separation of different structures in the examination object that is used.

  • Patent number: 10363005
Abstract: A method and an x-ray apparatus for interferometric 2D x-ray imaging, use a Talbot-Lau interferometer having at least one phase grating and an analysis grating for producing 2D images of an object to be examined using a phase stepping method. A stepwise readout of a detector is carried out continuously at a multiplicity of the phase positions of an interference pattern. Time sequences of readout interval data records which overlap in time are extracted from the readout data records, and at least one result image data record is calculated from an absorption image and/or a phase-contrast image and/or a dark-field image from each readout interval data record.

  • Publication number: 20190099372
Abstract: The present invention provides compositions, methods for lyophilizing compounds and making pharmaceutical compositions, and kits providing solutions and lyophilized formulations of compounds. The compositions, methods, and kits are particularly useful in pharmaceutical applications involving therapeutic agents that have low solubility at low pH and medium pH values. Certain embodiments provide methods for lyophilizing compounds in liquid solutions, which include the steps of: a) preparing aqueous solutions of a compound of interest in the absence of buffer; b) adjusting the pH to high values of pH in order to increase the solubility of the compound of interest; and c) freeze-drying the solution to provide a lyophilized solid composition. Aqueous solutions including buffer are also disclosed. Lyophilized formulations, including micronized and non-micronized powders, are provided.

  • Publication number: 20190076255
Abstract: An implant to fill a hole in tissue, such as bone tissue, comprising a first portion that is insertable through the hole when in a first compressed position, wherein the first portion cannot pass through the hole when in a first deployed position; and a second portion that cannot pass through the hole when in the second deployed position. The first and second portions of the implant can be deployed independently. Therefore, in operation, it is possible to insert the first portion of the implant through the hole when in the first compressed position, deploying the first portion to transition it to the first deployed position while the second portion remains in the second compressed position, and then deploying the second portion to transition it to the second deployed position. The devices and methods may be used, for example, in transsphenoidal or other orthopedic surgeries involving bone tissue.
