  • Patent number: 10394021
Abstract: A camera cover glass unit comprises a cover glass, arranged to protect an image capturing unit of a camera and a cover glass frame arranged to hold the cover glass is disclosed. A resilient structure is mounted between the cover glass and the cover glass frame and allows the cover glass to move in relation to the cover glass frame. A first permanent magnet is attached to the cover glass, and a motor is arranged to rotate a second permanent magnet in relation to the first magnet, in order to achieve a time-variant magnetic field, such that the second magnet attracts and repels the first magnet to a varying degree, thereby causing the cover glass to move in relation to the frame.

  • Patent number: 8474774
Abstract: The invention relates to a panel component holder arranged to be attached to a panel element. The panel component holder comprises at least one supporting means and a casing including a brim and at least one retainer. The at least one supporting means comprises an attached end being attached to the casing, an elastic means and a free end. Said at least one retainer is arranged to prevent outwardly movement of the at least one supporting means from said casing in a plane coinciding with the centre axis of the casing, wherein the outwardly movement of the supporting means is induced by the elastic means.

  • Publication number: 20060256752
Abstract: A Handoff (HO) Function facilitates the handoff of a hybrid Access Terminal/Mobile Terminal (AT/MT) from a packet data wireless network to a circuit switched wireless network, while the AT/MT is engaged in a call with another party through an IMS network. The HO Function subscribes to dialogue events for the AT/MT, and is thus aware of all relative network parameters. When a handoff is required, the HO Function generates all signaling necessary to include into the IMS network user plane, a media gateway connected to the circuit switched MSC, and to redirect the other party to the media gateway. The HO Function then generates signaling to hand the AT/MT off to the circuit switched network, which then communicates through the MSC to the media gateway. The home network of the AT/MT need not be involved in, or even aware of, the handoff.

  • Publication number: 20060092925
Abstract: A temporary address assignment server in an IP network assigns a temporary number to use for setting up a mobile terminated call to a mobile station roaming in an IP network. The temporary number is supplied to a switching node, such as a Mobile Switching Center, in a circuit switched network. The Mobile Switching Center sets up a connection with a Media Gateway by sending a call setup message to a Media Gateway Control Function. The call setup message includes the temporary number assigned by the temporary address assignment server. The Media Gateway Control Function uses the temporary number to establish a media session with the mobile station.

  • Publication number: 20050186971
Abstract: A Base Station Controller (BSC) in a wireless communication network stores paging location information for a mobile station, and uses that information to determine whether paging the mobile station for mobile-terminated packet data delivery requires mobile switching center (MSC) involvement. For example, the BSC may send a service request message to the MSC to initiate paging of the mobile station by the MSC if the paging location information identifies a service area that is not exclusive to the BSC, and autonomously page the mobile station if the identified service area is exclusive to the BSC. Also, the BSC may autonomously page the mobile station along with sending a service request to the MSC, on the chance that the mobile station actually is within a service area controlled by the BSC. The BSC also may send a service request to the MSC if autonomous paging fails.

  • Publication number: 20050185623
Abstract: A base station in a wireless communication network saves connection information that enables it to recognize currently authenticated mobile stations. The base station carries out localized connection management processing for authenticated mobile stations, at least for certain types of packet data connection events. By carrying out localized processing, the base station skips the connection management signaling between it and a supporting mobile switching center that would otherwise be required for processing such events. Thus, in a cdma2000 base station embodying such localized processing, the MSC's involvement in packet data connection state transitions, short data burst deliveries, etc., can be eliminated or at least greatly reduced, thereby minimizing the MSC's role in supporting packet data services.

  • Patent number: 5871309
Abstract: A rotary milling cutter body includes a plurality of inserts positioned at a positive axial angle and a negative radial angle. Shims are disposed behind respective inserts. One of the shims is thinner than the other shims (e.g., by 20-150.mu.m) so that the insert associated with the thinner shim has a greater axial projection than the other inserts. If shims are not used, one of the inserts could be thinner than the other inserts to achieve the same effect.

  • Patent number: 4596280
Abstract: A drum for stripping branches, bark and like so-called waste from trees or like woody plants, or for at least pre-treating the trees or like woody plants in a manner to soften or crush the branches and bark thereon, comprises a plurality of mutually co-axial drum sections (1-6). For the purpose of preventing a tree from being lifted in the drum under the action of obliquely positioned stripping bars, the drum sections are rotated alternately in clockwise and anti clockwise directions, which also prevents the tree from being rotated about its longitudinal axis. The stripping bars, which co-act with openings (22, 23, 24) through which removed waste material is released from the drum, are obliquely positioned relative to the axis of rotation (27) of the drum. The stripping bar of each drum section is obliquely positioned relative to the stripping bar of an adjacent drum section.

  • Patent number: 4559986
Abstract: A barking drum has a substantially cylindrical drum shell (1) with an essentially horizontal axis and at least one bearing ring (3) or similar device. The ring (3) surrounds an annular portion of the shell (1) and forms an interjacent gap (5). Further, the ring (3) is fixed relative to the drum shell (1) by means of a plurality of fastening means (7) fitted in the gap (5) and spaced at equal distances around the circumference of the shell. In order to produce an improved fixing of the ring (3) and the shell (1) in relation to each other, at least some of the fastening means (7) consist of an adjustable clamp that is expandable in a radial direction relative to the shell (1) and which is so constructed that any resilience is negligible, so that the ring (3) is substantially rigidly clamped onto the shell (1).

  • Patent number: 4374533
Abstract: Apparatus is provided for debarking logs and cut timber, comprising a debarking drum rotatable in either direction and having an inlet at one end and a plurality of lifter means shaped and disposed on an interior wall of the drum in a manner to engage and lift logs and cut timber with rotational movement of the drum in either direction; and a conveyor feeding logs and cut timber into the interior of the debarking drum; the conveyor being movable between a first position and a second position with respect to the inlet and the center axis of the debarking drum; and means for driving the drum in one direction when the conveyor occupies the first position, and in the opposite direction when the conveyor occupies the second position, so as to wear the lifter means more evenly.
