Patent number: 9916835Abstract: A digital wireless audio transmission system having a wireless receiving unit for wirelessly receiving a high-frequency signal. An HF analysis unit analyzes the received high-frequency data, detects errors in the transmission within a time window, and outputs the received data and first items of information in respect of the detected errors. A decoding unit converts/decodes the received high-frequency data into audio data. An error detection unit checks errors in the conversion of the decoding unit within a previously established time window and outputs second items of information in respect of errors during decoding of the received high-frequency data. An error rate is determined based on the first and second items of information. If the error rate exceeds a first threshold value then no audio signal is outputted. Only if the error rate falls below a second value, lower than the first value, is an audio output is then again effected.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2016Date of Patent: March 13, 2018Assignee: Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Tom-Fabian Frey, Satheesh Sukumar, Sven Wachtendorf

Patent number: 9756441Abstract: A digital audio transmission system, in particular a wireless microphone or wireless pocket transmitter system. The audio transmission system has at least one wireless transmitter and at least one wireless receiver. The wireless transmitter has an analog input, a digitally adjustable input potentiometer for adjusting the input gain, an analog/digital converter for converting the analog signals into digital signals, a digital signal processing unit for performing digital signal processing, and a digital or a digitally adjustable output potentiometer for adjusting the output gain. The digital signal processing unit is adapted to adjust the gain of the digital input potentiometer and/or the digital output potentiometer in such a way that the dynamic range of the analog/digital converter is optimally utilized.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2016Date of Patent: September 5, 2017Assignee: Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Christoph Musialik, Tom-Fabian Frey, Andreas Hermerding, Thomas Musialik, Sebastian Rieck, Markus Thiele, Sven Wachtendorf

Publication number: 20160381479Abstract: There is provided a method which makes it possible for a device connected to an electronic video camera to be put into a sleep mode by way of switching off the phantom voltage at the interface for sound and to put it back into the working mode again when the phantom voltage from same reappears. In that case that device can put further devices into a sleep mode by way of a wireless connection and also switch them back into the normal working mode again.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 8, 2016Publication date: December 29, 2016Applicant: Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co. KGInventors: MARKUS THIELE, Dela Bahlke, Sven Wachtendorf, Johannes Tieck

Patent number: 9444563Abstract: There is provided a wireless transmission system comprising at least one mobile transmitter for wireless audio transmission having a user interface. The wireless audio transmission system further has a stationary receiver for receiving the wireless audio transmission from the at least one mobile transmitter. The receiver has a receiving unit for wirelessly receiving the audio signals transmitted from the mobile transmitters. The stationary receiver also has an audio processing unit for performing audio processing of the audio signals received by the receiving unit and a sound check unit for analyzing the wireless audio signals received by the receiving unit. The stationary receiver further has a transmitter for transmitting at least parts of the analysis of the sound check unit to the mobile transmitters by way of a return channel.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2014Date of Patent: September 13, 2016Assignee: Sennheiser electronic GmbH & Co.
