    Abstract: The present invention relates to a speaker box (1) having a speaker housing (2) and a speaker (3). The speaker (3) has a speaker chassis (4) having a flange ring (5) on the front side (6) of the speaker (3), and a magnet head (8) on the rear side (7), opposite the flange ring (5), of the speaker (3). The speaker (3) is attached, by way of its flange ring (5), to a metal plate (9) that at least partly covers the speaker housing (2) at the front. For simpler and more effective self-cooling, a section connected to the flange ring (5) and made from metal projects into the speaker housing (2) and forms a channel wall (10) of an air channel (11).
