  • Publication number: 20240406878
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may apply a per chain transmit power split to a cumulative maximum transmit power level (MTPL). The UE may calculate a value associated with a conditional power backoff, wherein the value associated with the conditional power backoff is calculated after the per chain transmit power split is applied to the cumulative MTPL. The UE may transmit, using multiple transmit chains, an uplink signal using a final transmit power level, wherein the final transmit power level is based on a value of the cumulative MTPL after the per chain transmit power split is applied to the cumulative MTPL and the calculated value associated with the conditional power backoff. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20230309182
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enhancing a UE power savings mode. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) generally including receiving, from a network entity, signaling configuring the UE with discontinuous reception (DRX) parameters for a DRX mode, the DRX parameters including a DRX periodicity and DRX slot offset that define DRX off durations and transmitting, to the network entity, a request to modify the DRX slot offset after detecting at least one condition based on the DRX parameters.

  • Publication number: 20230037028
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may decode a first signal received over a broadcast channel during a first synchronization signal block (SSB) occasion to identify a first payload, and determine one or more expected changes between the first payload and a second payload of a second signal expected to be received over the broadcast channel during a second SSB occasion. The UE may update the first payload with the one or more expected changes to determine an updated first payload, and encode the updated first payload as an updated first signal. The UE may receive the second signal over the broadcast channel during the second SSB occasion, and apply the second signal and the updated first signal to a tracking procedure for the UE.

  • Patent number: 10771192
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for early termination of decoding of communication channels for power saving in narrowband devices are provided. One technique includes monitoring for one or more first repetitions of at least one communication channel from a base station. The device determines, based on the monitoring, whether to refrain from monitoring for one or more second repetitions of the at least one communication channel. The device enters a low power mode if the determination is to refrain from monitoring for the one or more second repetitions of the at least one communication channel.
